That’s what I messaged

No pitch, no polish, just the truth.

And she came back with:

“I’ve had one person in mind that I’ve been wanting to ask. And it’s you.” (I mean actually, she had a little joke first but this is where we arrived)

Catherine is the reason I ever believed I could do this.

When I was still figuring it all out, new to the VA world, unsure if anyone would pay me for what came naturally she saw something in me.

She made me feel like I could actually do it and change my life.

And this week, I got to sit down with her as a guest on her podcast.

We talked about all sorts: agency life, honesty, expansion, and that one little moment (involving a coin, the floor, and a certain magical place) that sparked the whole thing.

It was a joy, a proper full-circle moment and I’m so grateful for her.

She sat at her desk shaking.

Her blood flow was pulsing in her ears.

The room around her felt far away, like she was watching it from underwater.

When she looked down, her nailbeds had turned blue.

That woman was me.

And if you’ve ever had to sit through a meeting or write a post or send a smiling selfie when you were quietly falling apart, you might recognise her too.

A few weeks ago, I had one of the hardest weeks in business I’ve ever faced. Not because something awful happened but because I had to make a series of decisions that felt like grief. Decisions that were big, bold, and necessary… but still broke my heart a little.

That’s the part people don’t talk about when they say they want to grow; It doesn’t always feel exciting.

Sometimes it feels like letting go of something you loved or someone you were.

But when you do, the energy shifts almost instantly.

In my case:

9️⃣ NINE new clients landed in my inbox.

🎙️ I was invited onto another podcast.

🎉 Two incredible event invites came through for later this year.

🙌 And I secured my place in a coaching group with some of the sharpest minds I’ve ever been in a room with.

It all happened within days, because when you finally do the thing you’ve been resisting, the thing your soul’s been whispering about for weeks, the universe rushes in to meet you.

I’ve said it before; support changes everything.

Without my wonderful crew I might have wobbled right back into safety, backtracked, kept myself small. But they held the line while I did the big, brave things.

And I held my nerve.

Because backing yourself, even when it hurts, matters just as much.

The after bit comes and it’s brighter than you think.

Without a first step, there can never be a second.

So go and do the thing!

You know the one… the one that makes your belly flip when you think about it.

The one you’ve not been able to get off your mind for weeks, or maybe the one that just hit you yesterday but lit a fire you’ve not felt in ages.

Go and get started.

Yesterday saw the first Maven Morning take place and it was absolutely wonderful.

And it all started from an idea.

An idea I nearly didn’t take action on.

An idea I could’ve shoved to the bottom of the pile and marked as some day.

I didn’t know how it would go, I didn’t know how many spaces I’d sell, didn’t know who would be in the room.

But I did know my idea was solid and I did know these spaces make real change for women.

You know that about your idea too, don’t you?

The sky really is the limit when you go after your dreams.

And listen, I know it’s tempting to wait, polish, plan it all out until it’s ‘ready’. But sometimes the magic is in the leap.

🚀 To make space and see what happens.

You don’t need all the answers to start, you just need to start.

“I’m going to the moon!” 🚀🌙

“When do we leave?”

Fairly standard opening to one of mine and monthly tête-à-têtes.

We’re all about the power and how to unleash it.

She came to me with the bones of an idea, a few iterations flying around, waiting to land. Something she knew had weight, she just hadn’t said it out loud yet.

By the end of the session, she was lit up. Motivated, clear, reconnected with the fire behind the idea.

That same day, she dropped a voice note into one of her group spaces…That voice note became the heartbeat of her new offer: The Woman Who.

Our call was at the end of April.

Today is June 2nd and she launched it yesterday with over 100 women already enrolled.

Not because she had more time, not because she waited for perfection. But because she backed the spark and took the first bold step.

That’s what these sessions are about.

Not to-do lists, not post-it notes and productivity hacks, not me waving a magic wand (although, fairy godmother energy? Always). ✨🪄

They’re about you, your bigness, your brilliance, your bravery.

Sometimes you just need someone to say,
“Yep. That. Let’s go.”

And then everything starts to move.

Maven Morning is happening today and we’ll be doing exactly this.

Helping women say the bold thing, take the brave step, and move the ideas from head to heart to action.

“You make people not give up on themselves either, and that’s a special quality.”

I literally cannot think of a nicer compliment than this one from my client last week. 🥹

When I say I love people, I mean it. It’s at the core of everything I do.

I’m not a quitter and I don’t like to see others around me quit either, especially when I can see from a mile off how incredible and capable they really are.

Not to sound like a weirdo or anything, but when you step into the LBS fold, you step into a great big hug and a team of cheerleaders you didn’t sign up for. (In the best way.)

Believe me when I say we will see how brilliant you are and remind you often.

We’ll cheer you on, comfort you when you cry, and make you laugh when you’re at the edge of your sanity.

I’ve got a real skill with humans. I know when to push, when to listen, when to cry along, when to crack a joke. But you better believe that when the time is right, I’ll be right there beside you, nudging you forward and helping light that fire again.

There are people out here charging £3k for a PDF, two vague Zooms, and a playlist called ‘CEO vibes.’

It’s criminal really. (Can you believe there isn’t a burglar emoji?! 🤯)

Meanwhile, I’m quietly helping brilliant women make sense of their ideas, pull the good stuff out of the fog and crack on.

Turns out pretending it’s no big deal was getting in the way, so I’ve packed that in.

Because I’m really bloody good at this.

I could bottle what we’ve built here, I would.

This business isn’t just run with love it’s flooded with it.

The kind that flows both ways.

You know they say patience is a virtue?

(Well, my mum says that anyway… 🤣)

And I was being patient. (Which doesn’t come easily to me!) The whole plan simmering quietly in the background, ready to launch in a few weeks.

But women like us don’t wait.

We see what we want and we go.

The fire in my belly said now, so it’s now. 🔥

I’m not spilling the full beans just yet but let’s it’s got structure, accountability, and a good dose of ‘get your arse in gear’ energy.

You’ve Spent Your Life Putting Others First.

👩🏼‍💻 The job.
🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 The family.
😣 The expectations.
📆 The commitments.

You’ve poured so much into everyone else that somewhere along the way, you forgot to save a little for yourself.

And now you’re trying to carve out something wonderful for you, but that voice in the back of your head is wondering, is it too late for me? Did I miss my chance?

Honestly?

Absolutely not!

The most powerful version of you hasn’t even shown up yet.

I believe with all my heart that somewhere around 40, magic happens for women.
