About the Role:
JF Electrical & Security Systems Ltd is looking for a reliable, motivated and practically minded Multi-Skilled Security & Electrical Engineer to join our growing team.
This is a varied, hands-on role working across London and surrounding areas on residential and commercial projects. You’ll be involved in the installation, servicing, maintenance and fault-finding of a range of electrical and security systems, including CCTV, intruder alarms, EV chargers and general electrical installations.
We welcome applications from both experienced engineers and candidates who are earlier in their careers. You do not need to be an expert in every system we work with. However, some previous practical experience, background knowledge or hands-on exposure to electrical or security systems is required.
Training and opportunities to develop across additional systems can be provided to the right candidate.
Important: A full UK manual driving licence is essential for this position. Applicants without a valid manual driving licence will not be considered.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Installing, servicing and maintaining CCTV systems.
* Installing and maintaining intruder alarm systems.
* Installing and assisting with EV charging points.
* Carrying out electrical installation and maintenance work.
* Diagnosing and repairing faults across electrical and security systems.
* Testing systems and ensuring installations are completed safely and to a high standard.
* Completing job reports and maintaining accurate records of work carried out.
* Communicating professionally with residential and commercial customers.
* Travelling to customer sites across London and surrounding areas.
* Working independently when required while also supporting the wider team.
Essential Requirements to be considered for this role, you must have:
* A full, valid UK manual driving licence – compulsory.
* Some previous practical experience or background knowledge in CCTV, intruder alarms, electrical installations, EV chargers or a related field.
* A basic understanding of electrical and/or security systems.
* Good practical fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
* A willingness to learn new systems and develop your technical skills.
* Good communication and customer service skills.
* A professional, reliable and responsible approach to work.
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* The ability to work safely and complete installations to a high standard.
* The right to work in the United Kingdom.
You do not need extensive experience across every area. If you have several months to a year or more of relevant experience and a good technical foundation, we would still encourage you to apply.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
The following would be beneficial but are not essential for every applicant:
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
* Level 3 Electrical Qualification or equivalent.
* ECS or CSCS card.
* Previous EV charger installation experience.
* Experience with CCTV and security systems from manufacturers such as Hikvision, Ajax, Texecom, Pyronix or similar.
* Previous experience working in customers’ homes or commercial premises.
* Experience with electrical testing, maintenance or fault-finding.

Who We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for someone who is reliable, practical, willing to learn and takes pride in their work.
You may already be an experienced engineer, or you may have recently started your career and have some hands-on experience in electrical or security installations. What matters is that you have a good foundation, the right attitude and the motivation to develop.
Because this is a field-based position involving travel between customer sites, a full UK manual driving license is a strict requirement for the role.
