You didn’t see us yesterday as we were on an all-staff training day. But we are back, and all services resumed today. It’s important for us to have time to reflect on the work we do, understand the challenges we face and how we best look after our staff and volunteers so we can continue to deliver our services. Thanks again to Nika's Kitchen for lunch and Sam from Be Magnificent CIC for delivering our training.

Had a great day yesterday learning about how to facilitate group work with Be Magnificent CIC. It was super nice to see most of the team in person and also we made some new friends from Gifted Women too 😁❤️🫶

Today is Be Magnificent CIC’s 2nd birthday and we thought it was a good opportunity to look back at what we’ve been up to in those 24 months. Here are the key numbers:
· 703 professionals or volunteers have attended our multi-agency training courses;
· 14 times we have delivered a course specifically for a charity on-site at their offices;
· 7 courses have been delivered for charity service users, each course running for seven weeks.

We have delivered training courses all over the country: Ashford (Kent), Birmingham, Blackpool, Bournemouth, Brecon, Brighton, Bristol, Cardiff, Crawley, Edinburgh, Exeter, Folkestone, Gillingham, Glasgow, Hastings, Hull, Leeds. Leicester, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Norwich, Nottingham, Penzance, Plymouth, Portsmouth, Sheffield, Sittingbourne, Southend-on-Sea and Wrexham.

We have met some amazing people doing incredible work with people facing enormous challenges. Before the end of 2023 we’ll be taking our courses to lots of new places, including Aberystwyth, Colwyn Bay, Aberdeen and Dundee! And soon we’ll be announcing some brand new courses. We are off to deliver a fully booked course of Making Groups Work in Brighton today.

As well as delivering one day courses to professionals and volunteers we also deliver 7 week programmes for women. Take a look at some of the fantastic work created by our Sittingbourne “My Best Life” course.

Do you have a heart for mums, especially those for whom life is tricky? We are currently recruiting volunteers to join our existing Hub teams in Maidstone and Medway, and to be part of exciting new teams in Tonbridge and Sheerness where we plan to open Hubs in September.

We are also looking for Christian women of all ages with parenting experience who would like to pray for and support mums one-to-one through our Mum2Mum befriending service- our next befriender training course starts on May 27th.

We’ve returned from the Easter break hitting the ground running! We started our 7 week course for women “My Best Life” in Sittingbourne for residents of Southern Housing yesterday - huge thanks to Shona At Optivo for organising such a fab group of women.

This morning we were in Folkestone delivering week 5 of the same course at Home Start Folkestone - so lovely to see everyone after the break.

This evening we are in Nottingham preparing for tomorrow’s Making Groups Work training for Home Start Nottingham. Then we deliver the same course, same city on Thursday as one of our multi agency events.

It’s been a tough week for Leicester. To cap it all, our Making Groups Work one-day training course at LCB Depot on 4 May is now completely sold out.
