This week has been one of those reminders of why I do what I do.
I had the privilege of delivering a workshop at Coleg Gwent, Cross Keys College, working with students who are undergoing a 4-week Business Club. Seeing that spark of curiosity and ambition at the start of their journey is always powerful, this is where ideas begin to take shape.
I then spent time at Coleg Gwent (BGLZ, Ebbw Vale) with nail and beauty students, breaking down what it really takes to start a business. From pricing and branding to mindset and consistency, we focused on turning skills into sustainable income.
Alongside that, I’ve been supporting Welsh ICE as part of their “Meet the Experts” sessions, helping startups and business owners navigate challenges, refine their ideas, and move forward with clarity.
To round off the week, I sat on a panel at Merthyr College University of Glamorgan , sharing insights and encouraging the next generation of entrepreneurs to think bigger, act boldly, and back themselves.
Different rooms. Different audiences. One consistent theme:
People are ready to grow, but they need guidance, confidence, and the right environment to do it.
Followed off by a number of meetings with HMP prisons for Purple Shoots with Karen Davies about supporting entrepreneurship in prisons across Wales
If you’re working with students, startups, or aspiring entrepreneurs and want to equip them with practical, real-world business knowledge, let’s connect.
