Solent Plastics - Plastic Boxes and Storage Containers

16/10/2026

Did you know Really Useful Boxes can help filter water? Charity Trade Aid put them to ingenious use in Tanzania, drilling holes and filling the boxes with layers of sand and stones. Dirty water flowed in at the top, filtering through each layer before clean water was dispensed from a tap at the bottom.

Now that’s thinking outside the box! What inventive uses can you come up with? https://bit.ly/4sa92ft

Who says plastic boxes are just for storage? This Halloween, they can become part of the spooky fun! Sturdy, waterproof and easy to transform, clear plastic boxes make brilliant bases for creepy outdoor displays.

Why not turn a large clear box into a glowing "radioactive waste" vat? Give it a distressed neon green paint job, leaving a few clear patches, then add green LED fairy lights, faux cobwebs and a few suitably creepy skeletons inside. Finish it off with a lid and a big “Danger: Biohazard” label. ☢️

Suddenly, that humble storage box has gone from practical to positively terrifying! https://bit.ly/3VTUJQ8

Need to carry equipment without sacrificing load space?

Under-vehicle storage can provide a dedicated place for tools, recovery gear, spare parts and other equipment that needs to stay accessible without taking up room in the main load area.

For lorries, trailers and off-road vehicles, using space beneath the vehicle can help keep essential equipment organised and within easy reach, while leaving the main load area clear for its intended purpose. https://bit.ly/4yGwinR
