Being a creative is a quiet kind of faith.

It is choosing to believe in yourself, pen in hand, when no one else is in the room. Then waking up and doing it all over again. For every single story.

I have come to see real beauty in that cycle. Every time you believe in self, create, keep dreaming out loud, you are laying another stone in a universe that eventually has no choice but to bend towards you.

For me, that belief lives in every story I am trusted with. Believing I can write a poem that does a couple justice sounds like such a responsibility. Because it is. But there is so much joy in it, and when they hear their story come alive in a poem I hope truly honours them, and they tell me it does, my faith is filled right back up.

Believe. Create. Honour. Believe again.

My couples keep showing up as the most wonderful souls they are, and I will keep showing up for them.

Here’s to this continuing chapter, and to every poem still waiting to be written. 🫶🏾

I’m so emotional looking back at these gorgeous photos by Robert Carter Photography because you were the first to click on my website, the first to book me, the first to trust me with your story so I could write your poem, and the first to leave me a testimonial. You gave my dream its very FIRST yes, and my heart has been full ever since.

I named my business Forever Loved because I believe words are powerful and that the love of the couples I marry would stand the test of time. Four years on, watching you still adore each other tells me I was truly on to something.

Thank you for being my beginning. And may your story never end. Here’s to your forever love 🥂 🫶🏾

The kindest words 🥹

Some of the most special ceremonies are the smallest.

The ones where every single word is remembered because it has been written entirely from the journey of the two people getting married.

And to be in that room, with Stacey, Al and their girls, and no one else… to be trusted with such a sacred, intimate moment is something that will never be lost on me.
