This is NOT AI. I promise.

I completely understand why you might think it is. Because this place looks like someone reached into the most beautiful corner of a dream and decided to just leave it there for the rest of us to find.

A white aisle floating over still green water. Guests seated in boats beneath pagoda umbrellas. Flowers so abundant and so alive they feel like they showed up with something to prove.

This….is Swan Lake. Also known as Lagos dos Cisnes.

I write a bespoke poem for every couple I marry. I have sat with their love stories, searched for the most beautiful words I could find to honour them. And somehow, somewhere in Portugal, someone built a place that looks exactly like what love feels like when you put it into words.

In a few months I get to stand right here. In the middle of it. And do the work I love most in the world.

I’m full of gratitude that this is where my craft takes me. So full, in fact, that the words haven’t quite caught up yet. But they will. They always do.

The only thing more special than seeing each other for the first time on the day of your wedding, is doing it privately. Just the two of you: before the ceremony begins. A great way to ground yourselves, take the moment in and just be present as two… before your closest people celebrate you 🥹

And if you decide to write private vows to recite in this moment too, then as your Wedding Celebrant, I think that makes the moment even better 🥹
