Ultraviolet light is always around us. Useful in some settings, but not so helpful when it comes to intrusion detection.

In outdoor environments, especially coastal areas or higher altitudes, UV can interfere with performance and even affect PIR lenses.

MCs work by monitoring two parts, the magnet and the reed switch. If the gap between them is too big or they’re out of line, you can get false activations.

For reliable protection:
🔻 Keep the magnet and reed close and properly aligned
🔻 Fit the reed to a fixed frame to reduce knocks and damage
