🎄TREECYCLE UPDATE 🎄

We are pleased to confirm, that with the support of D&D Couriers Barnsley and Shaw's Waste Recycling, our Christmas Treecycle will proceed as planned.

Taking all the necessary precautions and remaining in line with governement guidance, trees will be collected on Sunday 10th January 2021, unless our Fundraising Team has specified otherwise.

If you could please ensure your tree is out from the evening of Saturday 9th January, this will help to minimise any contact with our drivers and allow for early morning collections.

🎄CHRISTMAS TREECYCLE🎄

Once again, this year’s Christmas Treecycle is kindly supported by D&D Couriers Barnsley and Shaw's Waste Recycling, and we are so grateful for their support!

With their help, we are able to recycle supporter's Christmas trees throughout the local area and raise much-needed funds for the Hospice.

For a suggested donation of £10, if you live in the following postcodes 👉S36, S63, S70, S71, S72, S73, S74, S75, we can save you some post-Christmas stress and collect your tree!

As you are aware we are in an unprecedented situation globally. We are all quickly re-writing and re-adjusting our working practices and trying to come to terms with the situation as a whole both commercially and socially.

With this in mind Shaw's Waste Recycling has taken the decision based on our staff and their family's welfare and safety to close our site for an initial 3 week period from Friday 27th March 2020.

We will hopefully, based on future advice and guidance from government return to work and open our site on Monday 20th April 2020.

We hope all our customers stay safe over this period on uncertainty and will see you all when we return.

NOTE TO ALL CUSTOMERS REGARDING COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS)

Due to these unprecedented times and to ensure the continued safety and wellbeing of all our staff and customers, our weighbridge is closed to all members of the public.

We are happy to advise that skip hire, collections and delivery are still available.

Our aim is to continue offering this service for as long as reasonably practicable, however, as the situation continues to develop, we may need to make further restrictions to our normal service.

At Shaw's Waste Recycling Ltd, the health and safety of our customers, staff and sub-contractors is vitally important to us. As such we are working hard to safeguard the wellbeing of all involved and are following all recommended steps to avoid the spread of covid-19 in line with the guidance set out by the government and public health England.

Additionally, we have implemented the following extra steps to enable us to continue to provide an efficient service as well as helping to protect our customers and staff.

All staff at Shaw's Waste Recycling have been made aware of the impacts of the virus and the appropriate measures of social distancing.

Drivers and yard operatives have been advised not to interact directly with members of the public. Payments will need to be made online or in advance prior to delivery of the skip.

With immediate effect, customers are not required to sign for their skip delivery until further notice. However, the drivers will obtain the customers name and date of delivery.

Furthermore, we have increased the frequency of vehicle cleaning, all staff have been provided with anti-bacterial wipes and spray for their vehicles, plant and office areas.

As we continually monitor and adapt to the situation, we thank you for your understanding, support and cooperation during this time.
