Yesterday, a PS5 Slim came in that turned on for a second and then switched off. The customer was hoping to have it done quickly due to the Easter school holiday. We got it on the bench straight away and read the codes—RAM chip 4 had failed. Luckily, we had this particular chip in stock. A new chip was fitted, and it is now working perfectly.

EDIT
When it was collected, the owner said it was only 5 days old, he didn’t want to send it back because it takes too long.

This is our customised PlayStation Portal, It started life as a standard white model.
It’s been made to look like the 30th Anniversary edition, the only things that are not the same are the grey thumbsticks and grey chassis as these parts are impossible to find.
The shell has been replaced with a grey one,, the buttons and D pad are modified clear grey, the Home/Options/Share buttons have been customised, the black triggers were replaced with modified grey ones and the sticks have been replaced with K Silver Hall Effect.
Thanks to Skin Pixel for the customisation of the Home/Options/Share buttons.

Today’s ask the nation…..

If you were buying your weekly shop or filling up your car and the cashier told you the total, would you offer them a “deal”???

“That will be £65 please sir”

“Can you do it for £50?”

You wouldn’t do it to a big business like a supermarket or petrol station, so why would you do it to a small business!

Today we did a re shell on a Dualsense Edge controller. It’s not a bad kit, it’s a bit spenny but it all fits great.
The home/logo button isn’t included so we had to make one to give it that finishing touch.
There are a few minor downsides.
No matching colour stick modules casings.
Sliders for trigger position are not included so are the original black.
The main issue is, the LED’s don’t shine through the touch pad because the replacement isn’t transparent.

This repair attempt was on a PS5. It had error CE-100006-7 and would not install the firmware. After extensive testing, the problem pointed toward the onboard SSD. The SSD consists of seven chips: the controller, three storage chips, and three system chips. The most common failure is the controller, so it was replaced; sadly, this did not resolve the fault. The next step is to begin replacing the storage chips.
