Revoked with immediate effect in December 2022. Off the road for 17 months awaiting an appeal date. Very grateful to the Hereford magistrates court for overturning the decision notwithstanding the Council's conviction policy. Another happy driver back on the road following revocation. That's 5 in the last 2 weeks. The appeal system clearly does work as those 5 successful appeals were in 4 different magistrates courts.

Another happy driver having overturned a revocation. This was particularly pleasing as the court were persuaded that notwithstanding the Council's convictions policy they were prepared to find exceptional circumstances not to revoke despite the driver having a recent conviction.

First trial since returning from sick leave. The operation clearly worked. Overturned an immediate revocation and the driver is back on the road.....and as an added bonus the Council are paying the bill 😁

A long but successful week to report. Two revoked drivers are back on the road following victories at Cardiff and Southend on Sea magistrates court respectively. Given the geography involved it could have been an episode from Gavin & Stacey 😁

After a successful taxi appeal against a certain Council in the North West my client hopefully will "never walk alone" as he is back on the road ! 😁

A long but successful day "up North" yesterday. Client had been revoked with immediate effect based on the Council's Suitability Policy. An experienced barrister was engaged to extol the virtues of an alleged strict , unbending and "water-tight" policy. Despite this the magistrates were persuaded by me to use their "common sense" and treat my client "individually" . A good record did not need to be wiped out by a historic blemish. They listened. They made an exception to the policy and my client is back on the road. As a bonus the Council were ordered to pay my clients bill. Justice prevailed 😁

Successful day at Kirklees magistrates court. Looks like the convictions policy is not impregnable after all. Delighted client also had his costs paid by the council. The moral of the story is that the council must also follow the rules not just the driver !

A tiring but successful 2 days in Lancaster Magistrates Court. Despite the Council having 9 witnesses my client is happily back on the road with his revocation reversed. As an added bonus the Council are paying the bill. A great way to begin the weekend !
