WPC's Ki wireless charging solution has entered its commercialisation phase.

The cordless kitchen is no longer just an idea or dream… it’s becoming a reality.

From kettles and blenders to toasters, Ki-enabled products are moving through certification and into real-world deployment. With up to 2.2 kW wireless power delivery and an interoperable ecosystem, the next generation of connected kitchens is taking shape.

But Ki isn’t the only wireless power technology making its way into kitchen appliances. The market is also seeing other wireless power technologies emerging specifically for kitchen applications.

The big question now isn’t “Can kitchens go cordless?”
It’s “How quickly can the ecosystem scale?”
Similar to WPC's Ki solution there are a few other wireless power solutions (like BeCordless, Kitchenery and others) specific to kitchen appliances.

98% efficiency sounds impressive. But a power engineer will always ask… “Under what conditions?”

The real story behind power supply performance depends on:
* Load conditions
* Input voltage
* Operating temperature
* Cooling requirements
* Efficiency of the complete system

Because in power electronics, the headline number is rarely the whole story and understanding the conditions behind the specification is where meaningful market, technology and efficiency insights begin.

What’s the first question you ask when you see an efficiency figure?👇

Designing the rack is no longer the end of the story. Its the beginning.

As AI workloads grow and power density rises, infrastructure is evolving from individual components into a fully integrated ecosystem.

* Traditional: 3–10 kW per rack
* High-density AI: 10–25 kW per rack
* AI transition: 25–60 kW per rack
* Current AI infrastructure: 60–120+ kW per rack
* Next-generation systems: 250–600 kW, moving towards MW Era of 1–2 MW per cube

The question is: Are today’s power solutions and cooling architectures ready for what coming next?

Not every shift in technology is about adding more power.

Sometimes, it’s about delivering the same power more efficiently.

Lower current can mean lower power losses, improved efficiency, smaller cables and better power density.

That’s one reason we’re seeing growing interest in 800V architectures across EVs, data centres and other high-power applications.

Of course, higher voltage also brings challenges around insulation, protection and system design.

As power demands continue to rise, it’s not just about how much power we need but how efficiently we can deliver it.

Higher voltage. Lower current. Better efficiency.

As AI workloads become more demanding, the conversation is shifting from compute performance to power infrastructure.

The next wave of data-center growth will depend on how efficiently the entire electrical ecosystem can support higher densities, faster power delivery, and increasing thermal demands.

This creates opportunities across power conversion, semiconductors, distribution, and cooling not just within the server itself.

For companies operating across the power-supply value chain, understanding these shifts early can help identify where the next growth opportunities are emerging.

What part of the AI power ecosystem do you think will see the biggest transformation over the next few years?
