It's power hour time! I'm excited to let you know I will be doing a Facebook Live Workshop on Tuesday July 9, at 11 am. I'll share insights, strategies, and tactics on everything you need to know to get started in private practice.

This free hour-long session will cover the first steps to starting a private practice, the first year, finding clients, my top tips for success, and more. It will also include a Q&A section for all your burning questions.

Why am I doing this? Before becoming a counsellor, I ran my own interior design company, so I was already familiar with running a business and its responsibilities. Things like pricing, admin, marketing and sales. It came in handy when I qualified as a counsellor and set up my private practice, and in the first three months, I gained ten new clients. Within six months, my practice was full.

My peers, seeing my success, started asking for my help. The more conversations I had, the more I understood people's challenges. It's all the things they didn't teach us when we were training. So, here I am sharing this with you!

Directory Profiles. As a qualified counsellor or therapist, you'll want to get your name out there on a directory profile - the Counselling Directory, Psychology Today, NCPS, BACP, for example.
