A different post, one with yours truly in the frame for a change. It's not that I am camera-shy, it's just there are better views and scenes to be had on my posts than my bonce.
And the background view here isn't too bad is it!
So this is from a couple of weeks ago on our now customary stop for lunch on the balcony at The Cottage Hotel, Hope Cove when staying in Hope Cove Visit South Devon. With this view of the harbour and Bigbury Bay, the food and hospitality, you cannot go wrong.
This latest visit also had a bit of extra significance as I had to collect my copy of A Good Scrap I Fear, a new book by The Cottage Hotel, Hope Cove owner William Ireland. We got talking on our previous visit with the book in its development stages and then had further chats and emails after about it. So it was great to chat with William in person again and see the finished (and signed) product which I am currently getting stuck into (it is a very good read and well worth getting a copy).
It's interesting to hear a follow-up is also in the pipeline too, and if it means another trip to collect it in person and save Royal Mail delivery, then I suppose it can be done ππ.
By the way, note the size of the cream tea kindly given to us too. Huge. And with it being Visit South Devon Visit Devon, it has to be cream first ππ
