In some workshops a normal vice will not surfice! This beauty will be a game changer in the right hands!

the anvil vice has some of the features of an orginal black smiths anvil from the flat surface to the horn, while also offering a 6.5inch open throw plus internal grips low in the vice jaws to grip cylindrical material! As always I’m well impressed with the ingenuity behind this tool building from Sykes.

This is 9mins long but stick with it beause is shows just how close you can be to fixing something but you give up earlier than you should have!

In hindsight it was a bit of a silly thing to try do, they won’t have insurance cover for me to be doing crap like that. Oh well! apologised and left!

Proper bodge job to get this one back on the road but you never know if it’ll work till you give it a shot..

I saved this operator a few quid, and advised them to incorporate alternator brush swaps into their service intervals.

I know other people would have swapped the whole alternator and took the parts margin but we don’t do business like that!

There’s nothing shameful about earning an honest living 🤜🏼🤛🏼
