A great example of why you should fully take devices apart to "Clean".
This is after we had vacuumed, brushed and used compressed air.
Crazy how much dirt is still trapped under the heat spreader.
She gets a 9.5 on the clean scale.

This puppy gets a solid 8.1 cant of been running well before.
Oh the pictures start after i had already used a vacuum and compressed air before opening.
Just goes to show if you don't open it its not cleaning it.

Ok this is the 2nd one today with, lets just say, questionable work. If you are working in this industry and think this is acceptable to pass off as work, you need to have a word with your self. Both have weak joints and have caused damage, both not cleaned, both have technician damage and both show no understanding of who to do this repair. Shame! practice on dead boards not customers.

, im really hoping this is a home repair, not someone doing repairs as wow.
This has had way too much heat and has damaged the ESD IC, causing it to spit out the solder.

PS4 HDMI done. Cleaned, new thermal paste and most importantly not in a landfill.

Drift/stuck Analogue sticks on PS5 controller. Cleaned and tested, Still needed the right stick changed as this had mechanically failed and was stuck to the left. New Hall effect stick fitted, both calibrated and centred and ready to go. We did the soldering on this and
IFix Local Ryde IOW did the clean and calibration.

HDMI repair on PS5 is so common. Some good tips for keeping your port in good order.
1 - Don't transport with leads plugged in
2 - Be careful of the angle you're plugging the HDMI in,
3- Get the right lead the right way around before you try.
4 - Be gentle plugging the lead in
5 - Check HDMI lead is OK and that all the pins are straight.
These are the most common reasons outside of drops we see for repairs. However if you do need a repair just get in touch with us or IFix Local Ryde IOW for fast quality repairs.
