To the Unsung Heroes of Uttlesford – We See You. We Thank You. 💙
This week, as the nation celebrates Carers Week, Angel Care Staffing Ltd, trading as WeCare Angels, wants to shine a light on the extraordinary individuals behind the scenes — many of whom have crossed oceans to care for our loved ones. Strangers once, now family.
👼 Our carers are the heartbeat of homes across Uttlesford. Some come from faraway countries, leaving behind their own families to support ours. They walk through doors each day bringing not just support, but hope, joy, and dignity — especially to those with no one else. For many, it’s not just about care — it’s about connection.
One client recently said, “I’m celebrating a year with my carer — our own little love story.”
💬 And yet, some still hear: “You’re not local.”
But how much more local can you be, when you live here, work here, care here, and lift this community up every single day?
These are strange and difficult times. Our carers face long shifts, emotional challenges, and sometimes even prejudice and fear. The recent tragedy in Birmingham, where a carer was stabbed while on duty, shook us deeply.
So yes, Uttlesford, we understand the worry, the whispered comments — and we will always stand by our carers through it all.
Still — they show up.
With strength. With courage. With dreams.
Some were failed by the systems that brought them here. But they found refuge with us, and in the arms of clients who say:
“They never call in sick — How come you have to force your staff to take a holidays?”
