I read something this week that said, “You don’t build communities, you create the environment for them.”

I thought that summed up flockhere perfectly.

We’re not trying to build one huge networking group where you turn up, don’t know anyone and leave with a handful of LinkedIn connections.

We’re creating the environment for smaller, local micro-communities to grow, whilst still feeling part of something bigger.

A place where familiar faces become part of your working week. Where you know you’ll always have someone to sit with. Where showing up doesn’t feel daunting because there’s a genuine sense of belonging.

I think that’s what community really is. Not being in a room with hundreds of people. But feeling like you belong when you walk through the door.

We’ve never been interested in building the “biggest” community.

Just one where people know your name. 💛

flockhere is partnering with Clue.Labs Labs and Canva UK to host Summer Content Club at Canva HQ in Shoreditch 🥳

Because let’s be honest, content creation can feel like a whole other full-time job. Between coming up with ideas, creating content, trying to keep up with trends and actually running your business, it’s no wonder it often gets pushed to the bottom of the list…

At flockhere, we’re building a community for women who want more flexibility, connection and support in the way they work. We believe work is easier (and more enjoyable) when you’re not doing it alone. (Hello body doubling 👋)

That’s exactly why we’ve put this day together.

We’ll kick off with the amazing Inge Hunter from Clue Labs, whose AI-powered platform analyses your content data to uncover what’s already working and gives personalised recommendations on exactly what to create next.

Then we’ll hear from the Canva team before spending the rest of the day coworking, creating and getting things done together.

Introducing your Friday work club 👩‍💻

Ever since launching flockhere, I’ve wanted to expand more into London (and I know lots of you have wanted this too)

But in all honesy… London is a beast 😅

So many locations, logistics, venues, travel times, different communities and with me not being able to physically be at everything myself, I found myself getting stressed just thinking about how to make it all work.

Then I realised I was overcomplicating it.

Because the thing women keep telling me they want is actually really simple:

👉 somewhere to go work
👉 people to sit near
👉 accountability
👉 connection
👉 a reason to leave the house
👉 body doubling energy that helps you actually get things done

So instead of loads of different coworking dates and formats…

I’ve got a plan... and this will help me valadate and test the market to see if people really DO want us to come to London

Introducing...... flockhere fridays

A regular coworking club for women working flexibly across London.

The idea is simple, you know there’ll always be somewhere to work from in the city on a Friday.

The perfect chance to finally get through the work tasks you’ve been avoiding, power through your admin, have productive conversations and finish the week strong alongside other women working flexibly.

And maybe even stay for a cheeky cocktail afterwards (work hard play hard and all that) 😉

We’ll start monthly across June & July while we partner with more amazing coworking spaces, cafés, hotels and creative venues then move to bi-weekly (or weekly) if the demand is there 👀

The Hearth x flockhere 🥳

I’m really excited to announce a new flockhere Residency at The Hearth!!

The Hearth is a beautiful women’s coworking space in Queen’s Park and exactly the kind of place I always hoped flockhere would partner with.

When I started flockhere, the idea was simple: women working flexibly should have more choice over where they work and more opportunities to connect with each other in real life, think of it as a flexible working passport that gives you access to places and people

These residencies are how we’re starting to make that happen.

We’ll be hosting small coworking pop-ups at The Hearth where you can step away from working at home and spend the day alongside other brilliant women doing their thing.

It’s a chance to work intentionally for a few hours, get through the things you’ve been putting off, make progress on your business or projects, and do it in a space where everyone else is focused too.

As part of flockhere, you’ll also get access to The Hearth beyond the meet-ups, with member perks that make it easier to drop in and work from the space when you need to.
