Big shoutout to Andreas for a brilliant feature presentation at BNI recently.

Andreas showcased Britton & Time and made it really clear who they help, the problems they solve, and (most importantly) how we as members can actively support him with quality introductions. It was a great reminder that referrals don’t “just happen”, they come from clarity, good conversations, and keeping the right people front of mind.

If you know a business owner or decision-maker who could benefit from expert legal support, have a chat with Andreas and let’s help create a few warm introductions this week.

Great Feature Presentation from Leoni at Uskuri Interiors, showcasing her interior design services and giving the room real clarity on the kind of projects she loves working on.

This is exactly what makes BNI powerful. When a member explains what they do in plain English and shares what they’re looking for, it helps everyone listen with purpose and spot the right opportunities, whether that’s a homeowner planning a refurb, a landlord upgrading a property, or a business refreshing their space.

If you’d like to visit BNI Alban and see how structured networking turns into real introductions and referrals, message me and I’ll get you booked in.

Big congrats to Kerry from Utility Warehouse for winning this week’s BNI Alban Oscar for Best 60 Seconds, presented by last week’s winner, John Nassari.

It’s a fun tradition, but it’s also a great way to recognise the members who are clear, confident, and specific about the referrals they’re looking for.

And of course, it comes with a perk: Kerry gets 2 minutes next week to go a level deeper and educate the room even more on who she helps and what to listen out for.

A few general snaps from a recent BNI Alban meeting. Great energy in the room, plenty of conversations, and lots of members actively looking for ways to help each other with introductions and referrals.

That’s what makes these meetings work: structure, consistency, and a group of local business owners who actually show up for each other week after week.

If you’re curious about how BNI works and you’d like to visit as a guest, drop me a message and I’ll get you booked in.

One of the best parts of BNI Alban is hearing real feedback from real people.

These photos capture two great testimonials shared in the room, and they’re a solid reminder that the trust built here turns into genuine results outside the meeting.

Shout out to Irfan (PayInLess Property Management) for supporting one of Linzi’s customers with property management, and to Neil (Jedi Services) for the IT and cyber security support they provide to Aaron and the team at The AB Construction Group.

Testimonials like these help the whole chapter, they build confidence, make it easier to refer with certainty, and raise the standard for everyone.

Great feature presentation recently from Aaron at The AB Construction Group during his 10-minute slot at BNI Alban. He did a brilliant job educating the room on the services they provide, the types of projects they take on, and most importantly, who they’d like introductions to.

That’s the real value of the 10 minutes. It gives the chapter proper clarity, so members can spot the right opportunities, ask better questions, and make introductions with confidence (instead of vague “I know a builder” referrals).

If you’d like to visit BNI Alban and see how structured networking works when it’s done well, drop me a message.

A couple of great shots of the BNI Alban Leadership Team in action. Good meeting management is a big part of why the chapter feels professional and runs on time. It keeps the energy up, makes sure everyone gets a fair chance to speak, and protects the structure that turns networking into real referrals.

At a high level, the President chairs the meeting and keeps everything moving in the right order. The Vice President supports the flow of the meeting and focuses on growth and quality, helping the chapter improve week to week. The Secretary Treasurer keeps the chapter organised behind the scenes, including managing key admin like renewals, and coordinating things like feature presentation speakers so members get their time to educate the room.

When each role is done well, the whole chapter benefits, smoother meetings, stronger participation, and better outcomes for everyone.

The Oscar goes to John Nassari for Best 60 Seconds at BNI Alban. It’s a fun award, but it’s also a serious nudge towards what works: being clear, specific, and memorable so the room knows exactly who to look out for on your behalf.

Winning the Oscar also comes with a real perk: you get 2 minutes the following week, giving you extra time to educate the room on what you do, what a great referral looks like, and the key triggers people should listen for.

John has won loads of photography awards, but this is the one he really covets !

Also, this one’s a rare moment because John is usually the man behind the camera for all our photos. So yes, this is your official reminder to download it and set it as your phone wallpaper.

Great to celebrate a renewal at BNI Alban. Irfan from PayInLess Property Management is renewing for his second year, and it was brilliant to welcome him in and recognise the commitment.

Renewing matters because it isn’t automatic, it’s a decision to keep showing up, keep building relationships, and keep investing in the people around you. The real value of BNI compounds over time.

The longer you’re in the room, the more trust you build, the more members understand your business, and the better the referrals become.

Congrats Irfan, and here’s to a strong year two.

Big recognition each month for our Notable Networkers at BNI Alban.

These are the members being recognised for consistent, positive contribution to the chapter, the people who really move things forward.

Shout out to Aaron (AB Construction Group) for passing the most referrals, Og (Uskuri Theobald Architects) for passing the most business, and Linzi (Hearts Nutrition Club) for bringing visitors into the room.

The benefit of celebrating this is simple: it reinforces the behaviours that make BNI work. When referrals are flowing and business is being passed, it builds trust, raises confidence, and encourages everyone to be more intentional about listening, connecting, and following up. It also creates momentum, because people can see that effort turns into real outcomes.

And bringing visitors is massive for the whole room. Visitors mean fresh connections, new opportunities for every member, and a stronger chapter long term. The bigger and healthier the room, the more chances there are for quality referrals, and the more value everyone gets from their membership.

Once a month we have Diane, our BNI Director Consultant, visit BNI Alban.

A Director Consultant is there to support the chapter from the outside, bringing fresh perspective, best practice from across BNI, and guidance to help us keep improving. Diane visits us once a month and it’s always valuable, she helps us stay focused, raise standards, and get even more from membership as a group.

When Diane’s with us, she also delivers the Education Slot. This is a short, practical part of the meeting where we sharpen a specific skill that helps everyone generate better results from BNI, things like how to ask for referrals, how to give referrals, how to do 1-2-1s well, and how to build trust faster.

This month’s focus was referrals, what a great referral looks like, how to be specific, and how to help other members win.

Big shout out to Matt from Cucumber Climate Control for winning the “Oscar” for Best 60 Seconds at BNI Alban.

It’s a genuinely coveted award, and it’s earned by being clear, memorable, and making it easy for the room to spot the right referral.

As the winner, Matt gets two minutes next week which means more time to educate the room on what he does, who he helps most, and what a great referral looks like.

That extra detail makes a real difference, because better understanding leads to better introductions.

Well deserved, Matt. Looking forward to the 2-minute upgrade next week.
