There are many things we were not told about getting married while growing up.

We were told to get married but not taught that marriage requires preparation.

We were told to pray about God giving you a spouse (He doesn’t by the way), but not told that an unhealed heart will cause issues in your marriage.

We were told God will do it but not told that the “it” God wants to do is a work in us.

We were told that the next phase of our lives after school is marriage but not told that knowing how to cook and clean isn’t enough for a godly, long-lasting marriage.

The tears you’re crying before God about your marriage won’t change the fact that God wants you prepared for that marriage.

So, here’s what I want you to settle in your heart right now: Your marriage needs you prepared for it. Not, praying and fasting alone, but prepared.

Then, start preparing. I’ve got a Marriage Preparation Checklist that will help you start your preparation journey.

“I pay for driving lessons, so why can’t I pay to learn how to get married?”

That’s Tolu from the Becoming Married Programme and honestly, she has a point.

We prepare for exams and for jobs. We prepare to move countries. But somehow, when it comes to the very thing we say we long for most, marriage, we are told to simply pray and wait.

I want to offer you something different.

The Becoming Married Programme was never about finding a husband. I have never been that kind of coach.

It is about becoming the woman who is ready and prepared when your husband shows up.

Over 6 weeks, rooted in a Biblical love story, we do the real work: clarifying your values, your vision, how to date and court wisely, preparing your heart and body, understanding your money story, and learning how to make space for another, that is, your husband.

The women in these slides did that work. Swipe and read it in their own words.

This is a year of where marriages are happening. I have watched it unfold in real time already; women in their 40s, first-time marriages, testimonies that keep coming.

The next cohort starts Tuesday 2 June 2026. We meet Tuesdays at 8pm BST for 6 weeks.

On Sunday evening, before the One Man, One Wife webinar even ended, 3 women had signed up for the Becoming Married Programme.

They didn’t wait but saved their spots straightaway. Why? Because I shared in 90 minutes what it took me years to learn.

For years, I prayed for marriage, fasted, sowed seeds and believed. I attended every singles’ event going and did everything the church and the magazines told me to do but nothing changed. I stayed single for a long time.

This wasn’t because God isn’t faithful because He is. It was because I was focused on the wrong thing.

I was focused on “finding” a husband or being found. Meanwhile, God was trying to focus me on becoming the woman my marriage and future life would need. He wanted to prepare me for a future I couldn’t see yet. And boy, what a future.

The moment I shifted my focus to His focus, everything changed. I got married to a great man at the right time. God did a work in me but I also surrendered to what was happening and that made our marriage stronger from day one.

Today, I’m opening doors to Becoming Married: The 6-Week Marriage Preparation Programme.
It’s for the single Christian woman who is not just waiting for marriage but is alo ready to prepare for it.

Over 6 weeks, we’ll cover everything nobody talks about:
✨ How to choose wisely; the person who not just feels right, but who is right
✨ How to live a full, purposeful life right now in this season and in your marriage
✨ How to navigate dating and courtship as a Christian woman in the modern world because the world has changed and you must change with it
✨ How to prepare your heart and your body because being on the back foot slows down the great marriage experience you can have
✨ How to get financially ready for the life you’ll share with your husband
✨ How to make space for another person practically, emotionally, and spiritually, especially if you’ve been single for a while

The programme holds over 6 live weekly sessions on Zoom, starting next Tuesday 2 June 2026.

Enrol today via the link in my bio. Doors close Sunday 31 May at 6 pm BST.
If this is for you, don’t wait. Enrol today.

Are you praying for a husband but not preparing for the marriage? Because the two are not the same thing.

I prayed for years before I met my husband. But what really shaped my marriage wasn’t the prayers alone. It was what I did during the waiting.

The messages I listened to and I listened to a lot of them, multiple times.
The values I clarified because dating gave me many eye-openers.

I worked on my healing and wrote the vision of what my future marriage looked like. Where my finances were a mess, I started building the right money mindset and habits. I quietly became the woman my marriage needed.

Here’s what I learned: the success of your marriage starts long before you meet your husband. It starts in singleness, with the knowledge you gain and the actions you take.

Which is why I’d love you to join me on Sunday 24 May for my FREE live webinar:
One Man, One Wife: 6 Keys to a Long-Lasting, Godly Marriage

In 90 minutes, you’ll learn the 6 keys that make for a long-lasting, godly marriage. We’ll cover:

✨ Preparing your heart and body for marriage
✨ Becoming one financially and having the money conversation nobody schedules
✨ Making space for another without losing yourself

When you register, you’ll also receive a free reflection workbook to help you apply each of the 6 keys to your own journey.

Have you ever gone online to ask strangers whether you should stay in your relationship? Or have you considered it but been too scared or ashamed to do so?

Don’t worry, I ’m not here to judge you for it. Instead, I want you to understand what that moment reveals about you.

I want you to understand why it matters more than any answer a stranger, especially a stranger online, could give you.

A great relationship doesn’t start with the right advice.

It starts with the right foundation and that foundation is you. As I say in my book, Waiting Gracefully, you are a common denominator in every relationship you’ve been in or are in right now.

Best make sure that common denominator is self-aware with the right mindset and focus.

I won’t forget being the judgey spiritual police to my husband in our early years of marriage.

I judged everything from his prayer style, to whether he said “amen” at the right times, or prayed long enough.

Then the Holy Spirit convicted me: “Why focus on the flaw in someone else’s life when you have glaring flaws of your own?”

Talk about a wake up call.

Yet it’s the same truth many Christian single women need to hear: You’re holding men to standards of perfection that you yourself haven’t reached.

You want men who bear the fruit of the Spirit without fault. Who think and act exactly like you.

But what’s the fun of that? The Bible says we’re designed to be COMPLEMENTARY, not identical.

So before you judge that man, ask yourself:
✨ Are YOU bearing fruit without fault?
✨ Are YOU faithfully walking out your faith?
✨ Where is the room for growth in YOUR life?

The same way you struggle with self-control is the same way he’s struggling.
If you want grace extended to you, why aren’t you extending it to him?

And no, I’m not saying settle for poor character. I’m talking about good men who are growing, just like you.

How God Actually Supports Marriage (According to Scripture)

1. God Led Once There Was Clarity About the Right Qualities (Genesis 24)

Abraham wanted to find a wife for his son, Isaac. But he didn’t just say, “God, give Isaac a wife.”

Instead, he clarified the qualities he wanted in Isaac’s wife. He gave his servant specific instructions about the type of woman to look for; someone from his homeland who knew the God they served.

He also acknowledged that God would be present to help make the process successful.

The servant went even further and clarified the circumstances in which he would meet the woman. And when he finally met Rebekah and told her and her family his intention, the woman chose to follow him.

There was clarity. There was divine guidance. And there was a choice.

2. God Presented and Let the Man Choose (Genesis 2)

God created Eve and presented her to Adam.

But notice: God didn’t force Adam to accept her. Adam recognised her and said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh.”

He accepted her because she was like him, not like the animals that had been presented before.

There was recognition. There was acceptance. There was a choice.

3. God Instructed and Gave Advice After the Man Had Chosen (Matthew 1)

Joseph was already engaged to Mary when he discovered she was pregnant. He decided he wanted to quietly break the engagement.

But God came through an angel to tell him not to, because he didn’t have the full picture. Once Joseph was given the full picture, he stayed with his choice: Mary.

There was a choice first. And then God advised to support that choice.

Do you see the pattern?

God guides, leads, gives wisdom and confirms.

But He doesn’t override free will. He doesn’t “give” a spouse, like He’s placing an order on your behalf.
