Happy birthday 🎉
A year ago today I launched my business.
It's been a difficult first year, there's no point hiding the truth!
😐 I've struggled mentally with the ups and downs of self-employed life
😐 I've found it hard to find a balance between being my own boss, being a mum and wife and still being me
😐 It's been bloody lonely (even though my two year old is great company when he wants to be 😂)
Although my mind always sees the negatives and the failures, I've forced myself to step back, put a smile on my face and look at what has been good about this year:
✨ I escaped an awful job where I didn't get paid on time
✨ I passed the VA Mastery Course (run by VACT) to give me great foundations for my business
✨ I now work with two wonderful clients on my terms
Could I have done better? Perhaps. Easy to say in hindsight.
Have I still made progress towards my end goal? Of course.
Will I still keep plugging away at it? Absolutely 💪🏻
What tips have you got to help me cope with the mental side of the freelance journey?
I'll be over here giving myself a talking to for feeling the need to use the word journey 😂
