I tend to post my work predominantly on my story, it's been a while since I made an actual post.

I just wanted to shout out about some of the manufacturers that I'm fortunate enough to work with. These great companies know how important it is that techs like myself are up to date with their technologies, innovations and support networks. That being said, the strength of personal relationships goes a long way in this industry. I always make the effort to get to know the manufacturers and suppliers that I work with as much as I do my own customers.

With a career background that involves customer service, coffee roasting, wholesale management and obviously coffee machine service and repair, I appreciate the importance of quality support, and giving confidence to my customers in the way my suppliers do to myself.

What a couple of weeks!!

Peak Coffee recently relocated to Salisbury, we're now covering Wiltshire and it's surrounding counties. This includes Hampshire, Oxfordshire and Dorset.

Since launching in the South we've been very fortunate to work for some great customers alongside some awesome coffee roasters and equipment manufacturers. We are also now operating as a approved technician.

It is with mixed emotions that I post on here today as I share some news regarding Peak Coffee.
Over the past twelve months, I have had the privilege of serving the vibrant coffee community in the Lake District and Cumbria.
The support and trust in Peak Coffee has been invaluable, and it has been a pleasure working with each and every one of you.
However, I am relocating from the area, and unfortunately, this means I will no longer be able to continue providing coffee services in the Lake District and Cumbria.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank each of you for your support and collaboration. It has been a pleasure getting to know you and contributing to the coffee culture in this beautiful part of the country.
This is not the end of Peak Coffee by any means, I shall continue doing what I do in a new part of the UK.
So, if you ever find yourselves in need of coffee expertise or have any inquiries that you feel I can assist with, please feel free to reach out
Thank you once again for being a part of the Peak Coffee journey in the Lake District and Cumbria.
I will be quiet on here for several days as I move myself, family and business to our new home near Salisbury.

I’m going to be working with some amazing roasters and machine manufacturers and cannot wait for the next chapter of Peak Coffee to begin.

I've been fortunate to work on some stunning machines over the last couple weeks. Including an immaculate bright red La Marzocco Linea mini, a Conti Ultima and a Victoria Arduino White Eagle Digit. Just some of the many manufacturers and models that we cover.

I've attended call outs to broken steam wands, leaking groups, blocked groups. Carried out several front end services, undertaken PSSR examinations and even spent some time training business owners on how to calibrate their kit and make the most of their chosen coffee.

I never stop at simply servicing or repairing the machine. I will always try and leave a little knowledge behind too. Whether it's how the issue occurred and if it can be prevented, how to program the machine or even offer a greater understanding of coffee roasting, and how proper extraction affects the flavour.

5 years ago, I embarked on my journey as a specialty coffee roaster, working for one of the leading roasters in the area, this knowledge and passion for the industry led me into the belly of espresso machines, ensuring that customers were able to keep operating.

This love of customer support and service grew into me learning more and more about the inner workings of espresso machines, I then took on servicing as my main role.

Last year I took the flying leap into self employment. Launching Peak! My customer base has changed but my focus on customer service hasn't. Every customer matters, I love to leave a site feeling like I have made a difference, not just service or repair their coffee machine. I take a great deal of satisfaction from assisting customers with the understanding of their kit and the coffee they serve.

Knowledge is to be shared, passions to be nurtured and the industry showcased.

I pride myself in being more than just a part fitter. With an in depth knowledge of specialty coffee I'm here to help you elevate your coffee game.

Today's visit to a customer ended up being a long conversation about the dialling in process, setting your recipe, how that recipe can affect the flavour and finish of the coffee and the importance of consistency. With the goal of delivering the same shot, after shot, after shot.

Some of the factors we spoke about were:

DOSE
This is the weight of ground coffee delivered from the grinder and how this impacts extraction.

GRIND SETTING
How this dictates the speed of which the shot is produced.

YIELD
This is basically the weight of the beverage in the cup, and the suggested dose to yield ratio.

TIME
By this, I mean how long the shot takes, this has probably the biggest bearing of the taste of your espresso.
