We are very saddened on hearing the news that the Queen passed away today.

Tonight our thoughts are with the Royal Family, the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth. We have lost not only a monarch but a true inspiration.

World Chocolate Day!

I really don't need any more of an excuse to enjoy chocolate, but today is World Chocolate Day so it would be rude not too right?!

There are other ways to celebrate chocolate but eating it is my favourite!

Not a bad way to spend a Monday!

We have been celebrating my partner and stepdad completing the London to Brighton Bike Ride in memory of our Nan.

They have been raising money for the British Heart foundation, which is a charity close to all our hearts 💜.

Recently a family member asked me 'so what is it that you actually do?' and this made me realise not everyone knows what a bookkeeper does.

Very basically a bookkeeper is a person whose job is to keep records of the financial affairs of a business,
looking after things such as purchases, expenses, sales revenue, invoices, and payments.

As a business owner having a bookkeeper can save you time and money especially when it comes time to file your tax return or for your accountant to do end of year accounts.

Today is World Blood Donor Day!

My first experience was far from a successful one with lots of things not going quite as they should, but that wasn't going to stop me!

I have now given blood 25 times and it is very rewarding knowing that you have helped save someone's life.

So a big thank you to anyone that already donates, works or supports blood donating, and if you have been thinking about it - do it! It is quick, painless and you get tea and biscuits after!!

If you file your own accounts then your 2021/2022 tax return is due by 31st January 2023.

You can file your tax return anytime before this date, so why leave it to the last minute?

By filing it early you will not only have peace of mind knowing it is done but also know exactly how much you have to pay and have time to put money aside if you don't already.
