The Science Jamboree has taken place over the last few days, and it’s been incredible to see so many enthusiastic young minds in Kent come through our doors and take part in interactive workshops lead by passionate STEM teams🧪🔬

The aim is simple: to inspire children to notice what’s around them, how things work and develop a lasting curiosity about science and technology, hoping to encourage the next generation of STEM leaders🧬🧪

We’re pleased to have hosted this brilliant again this year, offering a space for pupils to have their curiosity sparked in a place of true discovery and innovation🧠⚡

Last week’s Rediscovery £1 Sale was another great success, bringing the whole community together in support of a wonderful cause💙 Over the two days, tenants and members of the local community picked up some incredible bargains - all while helping to raise an impressive £1,400!👏

A big thank you goes out to the Rediscovery team, everyone who donated items, volunteered their time, or came along to shop - your support made all the difference!🙌

NEXT REDISCOVERY EVENT:
Rediscovery are gearing up for their next fashion show, set to take place in the coming months. Their previous events have been a huge success, bringing together our tenants and the local community at Discovery Park for a fantastic evening celebrating second-hand fashion on the catwalk💃
They’re currently looking for clothing donations - particularly men’s pieces - to help make this event as fun and memorable as possible.

We're thrilled to welcome Clean Planet Technologies to Discovery Park, who have just opened what is believed to be the world's first waste plastics to Sustainable Aviation Fuel facility - turning non-recyclable plastics into jet fuel that produces 75% fewer carbon emissions than conventional alternatives♻️✈️

On Friday, we celebrated International Women’s Day at Discovery Park with an event focused on women’s health, workplace support, leadership, and networking💜

The morning brought together speakers, members of the Discovery Park community and the public to explore the barriers women often face in reaching senior roles - including menopause, caring responsibilities, confidence, and access to strong professional networks. It also highlighted the on-site resources and support available across the park, from therapists to community groups designed to support wellbeing and mentorship to encourage growth.

With standing room only, the strong turnout reflected the supportive community across the park and public, noting the importance of continuing these conversations.

The morning also celebrated the winners of our Inspirational Women Awards, recognising individuals making a real difference in their fields and communities:
