Product Ideas - There are never bad ones

Before you set out on the path to a new product or service launch, capture your and/or your teams ideas. Spontaneous sessions often help focus on true, rather than 'forced' ideas.

Ranking ideas on which to analyse, and then through the use of challenge we centre on an objective, from which to begin our planning and roadmap. We can identify roadblocks, and tweak ideas to become rewarding.

We now have a shared vision and collective agreement on the potential market and returns. From this foundation we can start to build.

Start with the goal and objective. Understand what your internal stakeholders, customers and team members are looking to achieve.

Understanding the drivers behind the stakeholders and customers enables us to influence individual and team behaviours.

Understand the capability and capacity of your remote teams, whether home based or offshore. Find the balance of skills to increase motivation and increase output quality.

Define a lean governance model that does not hinder and becomes and overhead on the team, but make sure you have the right information to manage customers and stakeholders.

Take time to work with your team, understand their individual challenges, plan in downtime, find contingencies and promote the team ethic and inclusion.

As leaders, we are under our own pressures, set your coping strategy, and then you will be able to effectively lead others in these challenging times.
