❤️ WHAT A NIGHT!❤️

Friday 9th October was another monumental night for SWC as we hosted It'll Be Alright on the Night 5 at Scarborough Rugby Club! 🕺

What an incredible evening of laughter, entertainment, generosity and togetherness 🫶

From Heads & Tails and some brilliant Bandeoke performances, including our very own Kris Button stealing the show (not necessarily for his singing! 😂), to 80s legend Bobby Davro, a fantastic auction and disco...the atmosphere was simply amazing 🤩🤩🤩

A huge thank you to our compère Steve Hamblett and a special mention to Ken Boak, whose tireless work behind the scenes helps make these wonderful evenings possible 🙌🤝

❤️ Our note draw and auction alone raised a staggering £4,925, which will be shared between Saint Catherine's Hospice, the MND Association and Prostate Cancer UK ❤️

These charities are particularly close to our hearts, making everyone's generosity even more meaningful.

We often talk about the incredible culture we have at SWC, but nights like this demonstrate what it really means…People friendship, community and coming together to make a difference 🌍

We couldn't be prouder of everyone involved 🫵👊

Vicky & Paul are an incredible husband and wife team and two fantastic examples of what makes Team SWC so special 😍☺️

Vicky is celebrating an amazing 21 years with SWC 👀

With her larger than life personality, she’s a familiar voice on the phone and plays a huge part in scheduling our deliveries, often working her magic behind the scenes to make sure everything gets to where it needs to be when it needs to be! 🚛 🏠 🔧

Paul has made his mark across both Logistics and Quality Control, bringing the same passion, energy, commitment and brilliant can-do attitude to everything he takes on 🫡☝️

And their talents don’t stop at windows and doors! Vicky & Paul are also our star bakers 🎂🍰🧁

We’re still amazed Bake Off hasn’t come calling after some of the cakes and pastry delights they’ve brought into SWC over the years! 😅🥐😄

We’re proud to have several couples working together within our business, and Vicky & Paul are a shining example of loyalty, teamwork, commitment and love ❤️🥰

⛳ SWC Annual Golf Day 2026 – What a Day! ⛳️

We’re incredibly proud that so many of our customers took time out of their busy schedules to join us at the stunning Sandburn Hall, near York, for what has become one of the highlights of our calendar 👀

This year, 52 golfers took to the course, all with varying handicaps and abilities, but sharing the same passion and love for the game 🙌🙌

However the day is about the relationships and friendships that have developed over many years, with some now spanning more than three decades. Getting everyone together away from the day-to-day pressures of business is challenging so makes this event a special one

There was some amazing golfing talent on display as well as plenty of balls donated to the bushes 🥲😁

A special thank you must go to our resident golfing expert, and Longest Drive winner on the day, Luke Jenkinson 🫶 for organising another exceptional event. Thankfully, the thunderstorms stayed clear and we enjoyed some sunshine too! ☀️

In true SWC spirit, everyone donated some cash on the day too, helping us raise even more money for charity. Massive thanks to everyone for their generosity and continued support…it really does make a difference 🫵🤝

Lots of love to everyone who joined us and helped make the day such a success, we appreciate you all ❤️🖤🤍

👑👑 SWC Champions Part 8 – Mark Anderson, Quality Manager 👑👑

Meet Mark Anderson, our Quality Manager and a truly exceptional member of the SWC team 🙌

Always impeccably presented and quite possibly with the shiniest shoes in the business 👞 Mark is someone who genuinely cares, both professionally and personally 🫶

Those who know Mark well also know that many of the values and approaches that define him today were shaped through a close friendship and working partnership with his late colleague, John Fothergill ❤️🤍🖤

For more than twenty years they worked side by side, sharing ideas, solving problems and learning from one another. Though John is no longer with us, his influence is ever-present in the way Mark works, guides and supports those around him

A thoughtful listener with a calm, measured approach, Mark quietly goes about his work without seeking the spotlight. Yet his attention to detail is second to none, and his balanced, methodical approach means the quality of everything we produce is in safe hands 🤲

Now celebrating his 21st year with SWC 😯🍾 Mark has built an impressive career across the business. His logical thinking, professionalism and ability to solve problems have seen him excel in a variety of roles, including Office Manager, Customer Service Manager and now Quality Manager. Whatever the position, one thing has remained constant...his ability to lead with integrity, precision and quiet confidence 👏 ⌨️ 🛠️

Managing quality across such a diverse product range is no small task, but Mark approaches every challenge with care, consideration and consistency. He doesn't just maintain standards, he helps raise them, setting an example for everyone around him 💯

Articulate, thoughtful, kind and incredibly well respected, Mark is the sort of colleague everyone values 👈🤝🫶

A DAY WE’LL NEVER FORGET ❤️

How do you keep this brief when there is so much to tell?

Yesterday was one of those days that showed exactly what SWC and our culture are all about.

Families, friends, colleagues and customers came together with one shared purpose: to walk, to laugh, to make memories and, most importantly, to raise money for three incredible causes close to so many hearts:

❤️ Saint Catherine’s Hospice
❤️ Motor Neurone Disease
❤️ Prostate Cancer UK

What followed can only be described as a little piece of SWC history.

Two buses. 92 T-shirts. An incredible turnout. One unforgettable day.

Trying to capture everyone along the way was almost impossible, but that probably tells the story better than anything. Everywhere you looked there were people walking, talking, laughing, helping each other along and simply enjoying being part of something special.

We are incredibly proud and thankful for every single person who turned up and made the day what it was.

A special mention has to go to Ken Boak, who helped organise the event and, apparently deciding we hadn't raised enough already, carried the fundraising straight into the pub with a darts tournament! 🎯

Thank you to everyone behind the scenes who helped make the day possible; to those stationed along the route armed with water and chocolate to keep everyone going; to everyone who has already donated; and even to the complete strangers who saw what we were doing and went out of their way to put money into our collection tubs.

Those little moments meant a lot.

Yesterday wasn't just about the miles we walked or the money we raised.

It was about families, friendships, colleagues and community. It was about people giving up their time for others. And it was about seeing what can happen when a brilliant group of people comes together for something bigger than themselves.

To everyone who walked, organised, helped, donated, cheered us on or simply shared in the day:

Thank you. You should all be incredibly proud.

But they can't possibly tell you how much heart went into it.

A history-making day for SWC and one we won't forget. ❤️

90 bright green T-shirts have arrived for our Family Charity Walk on 15th August, and one thing is certain... we'll definitely be noticed wearing these!

Thanks to the team over at Yorbrand for supplying our t-shirts. These guys have supported us for many years with our fundraising events 💚

🎉 Our Biggest SWC Family Day Yet! 🎉

This year's SWC Family Day was our biggest and best yet, bringing colleagues and their families together for an afternoon packed with fun, laughter and great memories 🫶🙌

It was fantastic to see so many of the children running around with huge smiles on their faces and having a great time!

SWC 👑Champions👑 Part 7!

We've always maintained that our drivers are often the face of the business and true ambassadors for our Company. Mick Stocks, who has now been with the business for 16 years, alongside his wife Kay, who works in the office and is also celebrating 10 years with team SWC, is the perfect role model for our next generation of drivers 🚚

"Stocksy" is a shining example of what we mean when we talk about delivering a 5-star customer experience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

With his infectious smile, quick wit, and incredible can-do attitude, our customers know they're in safe hands 🙌

Mick and the rest of the Transport team have built an incredible rapport with our customers. In fact, they've built friendships 🤝. Mick & Kay were both in attendance at one of our customers wedding not so long ago! 💒

It may sound cliché to say that Mick goes the extra mile, but he genuinely does. Time and time again, he demonstrates a level of warmth, care and commitment that our customers, as well as team members, truly appreciate 🫶

Mick is often delivering to die hard Geordie's and isn't shy about sharing his passion for his beloved Liverpool FC. First Ekitike, then Isak & now Munoz...we perhaps ought to find some new customers in Sunderland 😅👀🤐
