We’ve recently launched a new website for The Yew Tree in Scalby in collaboration with Fitzpatrick Design

The project came alongside a major investment in the venue itself. The business has changed significantly over the years, but the website was still telling an older version of the story.

That’s something we see quite a lot. Businesses invest in premises, staff, services and customer experience, but the website gets left behind.

The aim here wasn’t to cram in features or reinvent anything. It was simply to create a website that reflects the quality of the venue, makes information easier to find and gives the team a stronger platform for the future.

It’s been great working with the team on it and we’re looking forward to seeing what’s next for them.

We’ve recently delivered the next phase of the operational platform we’ve been building with the forward-thinking EYJ Ltd Fire Doors.

What started as a factory and installation management system has continued to evolve into a connected operational platform used across the business day to day.

The latest phase brings commercial workflows, production planning and reporting together in the same environment, giving the team clearer visibility from initial enquiry through to delivery.

In practice, it has also allowed EYJ to move away from disconnected tools and external workflow platforms like Monday.com, replacing them with a system built directly around the way the business actually operates.

The reporting side in particular has become a major part of the platform, giving the business a level of operational and commercial visibility that simply wasn’t possible through disconnected spreadsheets and third-party tools.

This has all been delivered through our ongoing unlimited development model, which has allowed the platform to evolve quickly alongside the business rather than through large standalone projects.

We’ve rebuilt the Askew Brook site 🥳

It’s a better reflection of the work we do now.

Like most agencies, our own site had been left alone while we got on with client work.

Most of what we do is either operational systems, or websites that are part of how the business actually runs, not just something to look at.

So it’s been stripped back. Clearer on what we take on, how we work, and where AI fits.

There’s a few recent projects on there as well.

We design and build bespoke software, platforms and systems for organisations across the North, supporting real-world operations from manufacturing and logistics to SaaS products.

We had a really open and honest discussion at the Screen Yorkshire Coast to Credit freelancers panel yesterday. We covered everything from taking the leap, juggling work, getting paid and of course those all important mistakes.
