Any current clients or non clients are welcome to book on the event which lasts approx 90 mins and comes with drink refreshments and pizza. This will benefit any sole traders and landlords who combined taxable income is £ 30 k or above and need to put in place their plan for the 6th April 2027 onward for the new Making Tax Digital regime. We are running our next Xero accounting software refresher and Making Tax Digital introduction on Thursday 24th September 2026 to be held at the Yorkshire Coast Connections business hub on Falsgrave Road.

Payroll & Pensions Administrator (Part‑Time)
Location: Yorkshire Coast (Scarborough area)
Working Pattern: 1 full day in‑office + remote working options (with scope for further time)
Salary: Dependent on experience and qualifications

Job Summary
We are looking for someone to become our Payroll & Pensions Administrator to join our Yorkshire Coast accounting team on a part‑time basis. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, detail‑driven, and confident managing payroll and pension processes for a variety of clients.

You will work one full day per week in our office, with scope for additional hours completed remotely. We offer flexibility, autonomy, and a supportive working environment.

Key Responsibilities
Payroll processing — Prepare and run weekly/fortnightly and monthly payrolls for multiple clients

Pension administration — Manage auto‑enrolment, contributions, and compliance

HMRC submissions — Handle RTI filings and ensure all statutory deadlines are met

Client communication — Provide clear updates and respond to payroll‑related queries

Record keeping — Maintain accurate payroll and pension records

Compliance monitoring — Ensure all processes meet current UK legislation

Required Skills & Experience
Experience in payroll administration (practice or in‑house)

Knowledge of UK payroll legislation and auto‑enrolment

Familiarity with payroll software (e.g., BrightPay, Sage, Xero)

Strong attention to detail and confidentiality

Excellent communication skills

Ability to work independently when remote

Desirable Qualifications
Experience working in an accountancy practice
Knowledge of workplace pension schemes

Pay rate dependent on experience and qualifications
