THE VERDICT IS IN…

We’ve welcomed former military engineers and Bell 47 specialists Tom Kirk and Paul Harbottle to inspect our helicopter, assess its condition and answer the question we’ve been desperate to know…

Is it a write-off, a heap of junk, or can it be restored and returned to the skies?

We’re incredibly excited to have them on board and have already learned so much from their expertise.

There’s plenty more to reveal, but for now… watch to discover the verdict!

We are incredibly grateful for the support we've received and for everyone who has taken the time to contact us with information about available parts for our Bell 47 restoration.

As you can imagine, our phones and inboxes are filling up much faster than we can respond, and we are currently working through a very large volume of enquiries. To help us manage this as efficiently as possible, we would be very grateful if you could include all relevant information in a single message. This should include your best price, shipping location, photo, any available paperwork or certification, and any other useful product details.

Having everything together in one message allows us to pass the information directly to our helicopter engineers, who are building a database of potential suppliers and sources for specific parts. This helps us review opportunities much more quickly and ensures nothing gets missed.

We appreciate that everyone is keen to help, so keeping information concise and including the key details from the outset is enormously helpful for us. Thank you again for your support and understanding. We genuinely appreciate it and look forward to reviewing the information you send.

After years in hiding, our Bell 47 restoration project has officially begun its journey to a new home. Watching this iconic helicopter lifted into the air for the first time in years was equal parts exciting and nerve-racking!

The move attracted plenty of attention on its journey across the UK, but how many people recognised what it actually was?

Would you have recognised it?

Tomorrow is collection day for the Bell 47… and we are ridiculously excited.

CENEGEX Aviation has officially purchased G-BHNV, a Westland Bell 47G-3B-1 Sioux, and our goal is simple: restore it, bring it back to life, and get it flying again.
This iconic aircraft was first recorded airworthy on 28th June 1982, with the last logbook date showing 28th May 1989. It has been with its previous owner since 1982, so after 44 years, it is about to begin a brand-new chapter.

We know it needs new rotor blades and a new bubble, and we’re sure there will be plenty more to discover once it has been properly inspected by the specialists!
We’ll be documenting the whole journey from collection to renovation, sharing the discoveries, the challenges, the history, and hopefully one day, the moment this beautiful old bird takes to the sky again.

We’ll be collecting it tomorrow. One last thing, we haven’t actually seen it yet…
