Today we played Letham Sky Blues at home.
It has take a while to write the match report today, not because of our performance or the result but becuse I have been trying to find a way to keep it positive about the opposition as it is about our boys not theirs. Positive done.
Our boys this morning were tasked with trying to close spaces down and not allow any kind of football to be played by our opponents, as this is how we have been letting teams out in recent weeks and boy did they do it.
For the first 45/50 minutes of the game we out played, out pressed and out fought the opposition, taking a 1-0 lead halfway through the first half and keeping it till mid way through the second, all the time having the game under control. Unfortunately the hard work was undone by some continuous decisions and actions of opposition players, never the less we are proud of the work the boys put in again today and how they reacted to what we have asked of them is so good to see, week on week seeing progression in our play and game control is what we take as a coaching team from today, when we convert the 45/50 minutes of dominance into 70+ we will definitely be a team to watch.
Keep working hard boys and keep building on what we have started now ππ»ππ»ππ»
MOM today again there were a few that could have took it but for his sheer consistency, work rate and class every week it is Tommy, once again made the team tick from the middle of the park, if Tommy has a good game, we have a good game that is the levels he is putting out every week and today deserves recognition for it, the Pirlo of Newburgh π keep up the work and the rewards will come for you, well done mate ππ»ππ»ππ»
Thank you for the support from everyone and we would like to say Happy Mothers Day to all of the Mums who come week in week out to support us.
