Tree Tops Forestry are looking for a full-time Groundsperson/Trainee to join our team!

🌳 If you love working outdoors with no two days the same in sometimes challenging environments then this is the job for you 🌳

Based near Settle, we carry out work all over the country.

Whilst prior experience in the sector is welcomed, it's not essential as comprehensive training will be given.

That's us all finished for another year at TTF. They seem to go quicker every year and we now look forward to year number 53!

As ever, huge thanks to Simon and Finn for their hard work and great attitude towards our valued clients.

Great to once again support Settle Town Council with their amazing christmas lights and decorations. It's always a pleasure to do our bit supplying the tree.

Thank you to all our clients and customers, hope everyone has a brilliant christmas and new year. We are ready for 2026 and all the arboricultural challenges it will bring.

🎅WHAT A SUPER SETTLE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS SWITCH ON !!!!! 🎄 The community was out in full festive spirit at this year's Christmas Lights Switch on. The event on Saturday was a wonderful, family friendly event, that saw people travel from afar to join in the festivities.
Entertainment was provided throughout the event with performances from Bethel Chapel , Helen Howard School of Theatre Dance, Giggleswick School, Giggleswick Primary, Settle Primary & Giggleswick & Settle Brass Band.

The bouncy castle snow globe saw many children enjoying themselves. A massive thank you must be given to Yorkshire Dales Inflatables - Bouncy Castle & Soft Play Hire and Cllr David Taylor who manned the bouncy castle all day in the cold and donated all takings to go towards next years event.

The Christmas market was well attended and it was lovely that local charities and organisations also joined in with the celebrations 🎅

The magnificent large Christmas tree, which was locally sourced from the Anley Estate and together with Tree Tops Forestry Ltd generosity ensures that Settle once again has a magnificent tree. It looks fabulous all lit up!!! 🎄Thank you to the lovely team Knight Stainforth Hall Caravan Park for their assistance getting the tree in place.

The event ended with the Christmas lights being switched on by some very excited children and an amazing fireworks display produced by Electrify Pyrotechnics, Lighting & PA Hire, which was sponsored by Tarmac.
We would like to thank all of the sponsors Arla, Tarmac, John Roberts Paper, Car and Kitchen , Walker Foster Solicitors, Marshall Taylor Properties, Rosa & Matteo's, and Conservefor who made this event possible.

Thank you also to the many local businesses for their generous raffle prize donations - we had some wonderful prizes.

Always happy to give a bit back to the people of Settle.

🎄🎄🎄🎄🎅🎅IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK ALOT LIKE CHRISTMAS IN SETTLE!!! 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎅🎅 Settle has a beautiful Christmas tree once again!!!
The tree was locally sourced from the Anley Estate and together with the kind donation from Tree Tops Forestry, Settle once again has a stunning tree.
A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to Jonathan, Simon & Finn from Tree Tops Forestry Ltd and Chris & Ryan from Knights Stainforth who have all helped to erect the large Christmas tree in the market place on this bitterly cold morning. 🥶🥶
We couldn't do it without you so a massive thank you for a great team effort. It will look even more beautiful once it's decorated. 🌟🎉🎉🎉

At 11am today we'll stop all work and take the time to quietly reflect upon those lost and injured in conflict, as we are sure most others will be doing nationwide:

With heading this way it's worth thinking about the increased risks of storms at this time of the year.

When trees are in full leaf, they have a greater ability to cause significant damage and injury due to the increased sail effect.

High and exposed ground, as is common in the , is particularly vulnerable.

As always, stay safe as the wind picks up and be aware of your surroundings. As well as the risk trees can cause in high winds, there is also the possibility of flying debris causing injury.

We do get to work in some stunning locations. This week, working with Higher Myers carrying out remedial works while the pond was drained for repairs. Hot work but the views make up for it. Thanks to Dave Myers for all his help as usual.

A BIG THANK YOU to the Tree Tops Forestry Ltd team for taking the large Christmas tree down today despite the freezing temperatures 🥶🥶. It's the only tree they get to fell twice!!!
This years tree was stunning and I'll be sad to not see it lit up on the marketplace.

Another year done for us at TTF. It's been a challenging one on many fronts but we've got there in the end! Thanks to everyone we've had the pleasure of working for and to all our friends who work with us throughout the year.
Special thanks to Simon and Finn who have been a massive help holding the fort while I've been on far more stressful duties at home. Great lads who I am so lucky to have on board.
Have a great Christmas everyone and let's do it all again next year 😀
