Off the press this week: 2-part NCR cash sale books, A5, single-colour, printed in runs of 50 for a South Yorkshire packaging company. One thing we see regularly: files supplied in RGB rather than CMYK. Looks fine on screen, then the colours shift on press. It's an easy fix before the job goes to print — not after.

If you're unsure whether your files are press-ready, just ask. A quick check at the start saves everyone time and money. Most printers will be happy to talk you through it.
