Six years ago, I made a decision that completely changed my life—I started building an online business.
At the time, I had no idea just how important that decision would become.
Two years ago, my life changed overnight. I became a single mum, went through a divorce, and suddenly found myself trying to rebuild my life while making sure my children felt safe, loved, and supported.
Starting over wasn’t easy.
I needed time to heal, adjust to our new normal, and focus on my family. I took a year and a half away from actively working on my online business because I was juggling a full-time job alongside being a full-time single mum.
But here’s the part I’m most grateful for…
Because I’d spent the previous few years building my online business, it continued to generate passive income while I stepped back.
That extra income became a lifeline during one of the hardest seasons of my life. It helped cover the extra costs that come with raising children on your own, took some of the financial pressure away, and gave me the breathing space I desperately needed.
Being a single mum is expensive—even when you work full time.
Looking back now, I’m so thankful I didn’t give up when I first started. The time and effort I invested years ago paid me back when I needed it most.
That’s one of the biggest reasons I’m so passionate about helping other mums.
I know what it’s like to want more security. To worry about money. To want to be present for your children without constantly feeling like you’re sacrificing your own dreams.
I believe every mum deserves the opportunity to create an income that works around family life—not the other way around.
