Miele Washing Machine With A Lot Of Bounce

Got called in for a service of a customer's Miele washing machine. While there they asked if we could take a quick look at their dryer.

The model is an AEG Lavatherm 3200 produced around 25 years ago

They said its not been used for a while and from what they can remember, grinds heavily when spinning.

As you can see, the inside lip of the drum is sheared and damaged, probably for the best they stopped using it when they did.

Had a quick look online and to neither mine or the customers surprise, drums for this are no longer available.

Removed the machine for them and then cracked on with the service of the Miele.

Hotpoint washing machine giving out an F05 error code, machine not draining.

Repair on a Bosch american style fridge freezer.

Constantly freezing up in the fridge which is hindering performance.

Removed the cover which was solid all the way through with ice, Tested the heater and no surprise it was faulty.

We defrosted the machine and quoted the customer for a new evaporator cover and heater

Repair on a customers Indesit washing machine. The customer just had the kitchen side and sink fitted by Wicks, the installers were probably in a rush and forgot to waterproof it using sealant resulting in this.

Water had been dripping down onto the back of the machine every time the customer used the sink.

Both the Motor and board were completely shot, quoted the customer for the parts but decided uneconomical to repair.

Customer's 40 year old Electrolux fridge we ran into today.

Never had a repairman out because it's never caused until the fridge died last week.

The fridge and the freezer both run off independent compressors with the fridge compressor running at a much higher temp than the freezer (indicating low gas)

Unfortunately due to the age of the machine, R12 gas (which stopped being produced in 1994) is no longer used resulting in an unrepairable machine.

Not bad for 40 years though.
