15 year old Wink Haus Cobra locking mechanism replaced for a customer in Nether Edge, S7.
The door had become misaligned over the years, and the gap between the door edge and the frame was too big, causing the hook bolts to catch and not fully engage.
Simply replacing the broken part, without addressing the underlying cause of the premature failure, will result in the same thing happening again.
Hinges adjusted, striker plates refitted and realigned, and door left working better and smoother than the day it was installed.

Tired and worn out door furniture replaced for a customer in Chaucer, S5, who wanted to breathe new life into their door.
The letterbox flap had broken, the handle springs had perished, and the cylinder was difficult to operate from both sides.
They are getting the door painted in a couple of weeks, so wanted the furniture ready to go .
Ultion Sweet polished gold handles, backed by a manufacturer’s 20 year anti-corrosion guarantee, combined with a matching Sweet polished gold letterbox with rounded ends. Finally, we upgraded the cylinder to a 1* anti snap lock.

Jammed and broken cylinder replaced on a Locinox alleyway gate in Greystones .
These locks need to be fully removed from the gate in order to access to fixing screw for the cylinder, so we took the time to service and check the condition of the lock case whilst we were replacing the cylinder.
As the alley was shared with the neighbouring property, they needed 3 extra keys for the lock….. no problem.
6 keys in total supplied and gate back up and running and nice and secure again.

There’s always one job on a Friday that presents a BIG challenge….. and this door in Woodhouse was the one that did!
Our customer had recently bought the property, but shortly afterwards, the obsolete Yale 3 deadbolt locking mechanism finally packed up after 30 plus years of dedicated service!
We attended and installed a universal Fullex locking mechanism with new cylinder lock and hook striker plates. It’s difficult retro -fitting newer style systems on older doors, but we’ve been repairing and replacing locks on UPVC doors for the last 30+ years, so there isn’t much we haven’t had to deal with.
