Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 Employed, £40,000 to £80,000 Self Employed per annum after training
Position
We are currently seeking to recruit hard working, professional & enthusiastic individuals, ideally with at least 2 years’ experience (but not essential) in electrical or mechanical industries. You will be based from home but working in customers’ houses and business premises in your surrounding geographical area in or close to your home address. You will be diagnosing faults with all makes, models and types of appliances and carrying out servicing and repairs plus sales and installations.
Training Program
You will receive free comprehensive training on a variety of appliances in the classroom, workshop and in the field at customers’ homes. This training will last approximately 2 to 3 weeks. Periodic assessments and further training will be carried out in your first 6 months if necessary. After successfully completing a final course exam you will start doing appliance repair calls on your own in your designated home area.
Requirements
To be considered for the position, ideally you will have the following:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in electrician or mechanical fields
Willing to be trained and work on a variety of different branded appliance products i.e Bosch, Neff, Siemens, Beko, Hotpoint, Whirlpool, AEG, Samsung, Miele, Electrolux etc.
Willing to be trained on a variety of appliance types including washing machines, cookers, ovens, fridges, freezers, dishwashers, tumble dryers, hobs, extractors etc
A refrigeration/F-Gas certificate would also act as an advantage to your application.
Job description and responsibility’s
This is an ideal opportunity for a more motivated, experienced, and professional person looking to be trained in the Appliance Repairs field of work without the constraints of being run by a head office team or service manager and who wishes to become more his own boss and manage his own diary and customers each day. After training you will be required to run your own area, answer all incoming customer phone calls and emails to your business mobile phone and book these calls in on a date and time that suits you. You will be responsible for ordering all your own parts and booking in return calls with your customers to fit these parts. The working week is Monday to Friday, and you will be contracted to do a minimum of 6 paid calls a day/30 paid calls per week (3 calls a day to begin with after training). This allows you to work a very flexible week as it is based on calls completed and not hours worked.
Employed to Self Employed Opportunity
Once you have completed your first year’s employment and achieved the expected level of progress then you will be offered to go self employed where your salary expectations will increase to between £40,000 and £80,000 per annum. This is your choice and if you decide not to do this then you can stay fully employed.
Company Vehicle
You must supply your own suitable company vehicle & tools.
Holiday entitlement
30 days maximum paid holiday every year including bank holidays (employed only).
Training Bond Deposit
There will be a Training Bond Deposit of £5,000 to pay at the beginning of your contract which is refunded in full after 2 years’ service. Please note: You will be eligible to apply for government loan of up to £25,000.
