The next open day at the barn will be a community apple pressing day on Sat 19th September. 10am till 6pm.
We'll have our press running all day and the wayward filly cider bar will be on site to keep you refreshed so come along and see how the cider is made.
If you want to have your apples pressed to make your own cider do feel free to bring them along as well. don't forget to bring containers to take away your pressed juice afterwards, I don't have any to sell.
Please wear clothes you don't mind getting a bit mucky if you want to get your apples pressed as well. Assistance will be required washing, milling and pressing the apples which IS a messy job! 😉
p.s. yes I know, AI. Too tired to design a poster today and I was curious what chat gpt would be able to do. I'm not sure how good an idea cast iron hoops on the press would be tbh. Iron in cider makes it go purple when it oxidises! 🤣
