🌟 What an absolute joy it is working with the brilliant team at Club 61! 💙

Club 61 provides specialised day care and support for men with learning disabilities, focusing on community-based outings, participation in local groups, and a range of social, recreational, and physical activities such as team sports and tennis challenges. 🎾⚽ With a strong emphasis on inclusion, personal development and meaningful community engagement, the organisation takes a person-centred approach that meets recognised care standards and helps the men they support lead active, fulfilling lives. 🙌

💡 A little while ago they approached us with a fantastic idea - to create a real-life, work-based workshop full of meaningful activities for the guys. From that conversation… the Wednesday Workshop was born, and it’s been one of the most socially rewarding projects we’ve been part of. 💚

🛠️ We set them up with the tools, instructions, and material they needed, and every Wednesday the lads get stuck into proper recycling jobs: carefully recovering PCBs from old routers and switches, unpacking and preparing items for recycling, and skilfully recovering wire by cutting the gold edge connectors from ethernet cables. ♻️🔌

Not only does this give everyone valuable hands-on work experience, but the sense of achievement when a job is finished is pure magic. ✨ And can we just say… these guys are amazingly fast! ⚡ Watching them work with such focus, pride and teamwork never fails to put a huge smile on our faces. 😊

👏 Huge thanks to Club 61 for trusting us with this, and an even bigger shout-out to all the lads who make every Wednesday so special. You’re an inspiration! 🌟

A huge THANK YOU to the wonderful Sheffield1000 charity for their incredibly generous £1,000 donation! 💚

Here at Aspire, we like to think of ourselves as Sheffield’s modern-day recycling Wombles, quietly working away, making good use of the things that people and businesses leave behind, and turning donations into opportunity, purpose and positive change. 🛠️💻♻️

Our shy but hardworking team don’t always like the spotlight, but they absolutely deserve it today.

Every cable sorted, every computer checked, every item reused, repaired, recycled or repurposed helps keep valuable resources out of waste streams and supports meaningful work here in Sheffield. 🌍✨

This surprise donation will help fuel our very own recycling Wombles, power them on, and keep the Aspire team doing what they do best: Making good use of donated things, supporting people, and keeping Sheffield recycling. 💪💚

💚 Fuel for the day, made with care.

As our amazing volunteers graft through the day (building skills, confidence, and making a real difference in their community) one thing they can always count on is a hearty, healthy meal to keep them going. 🍽️✨

This is just one example of a lunchtime meal, freshly cooked and served by our brilliant onsite café team.

It’s also a lovely example of how small funds and generous grant awards make a direct difference here at Aspire. Supporting people is about more than just training and opportunity - it’s about nourishment, wellbeing, and making sure people feel valued.

Money well spent, we think. 💚

Next time you visit us or bring your recycling in, why not pop into the Atrium and grab a coffee, breakfast or butty while you’re here? You can sample some of the tasty food on offer and support a great local space at the same time. ☕🥪

🌞 This Sunday, while many of us enjoy a day of rest…

Hundreds of people in Sheffield will have nowhere warm to go. No hot meal. No friendly face. No moment of dignity.

That’s why we’re incredibly proud to announce that The Sunday Centre is our Charity of the Year. ❤️

For over 25 years, this small, home-grown Sheffield charity has opened its doors every single Sunday at Victoria Hall - the one day when most other support services close.

They welcome over 100 vulnerable guests: people sleeping rough, in insecure housing, battling poverty, addiction, mental health struggles, or simply facing isolation.

They don’t just serve food.

They serve hope. ❤️

🍽️ A nutritious hot meal (meat or vegetarian), fresh fruit, treats, and (most importantly) a genuine welcome, a chance to sit, talk, and feel human again in a safe, warm space.

Like many small, vital charities, they have no steady income. They run entirely on donations, goodwill, and the dedication of volunteers.

This year, we’re stepping up: donating our own equipment to power their operations, raising funds, and amplifying their voice across our networks.

But we can’t do this alone.
