Whether you're funding a project with a grant or your own cash, the delivery principles stay the same.
We've been part of dozens of projects, some grant-funded, some not. The ones that succeed? They all follow these five things:
✅ Start with outcomes, not features. You want fewer errors and faster fulfilment, not just a fancy new system.
✅ Keep your first phase small to prove value. Big bang implementations rarely work. Small wins build momentum and trust.
✅ Assign a clear owner inside your business. Someone needs to drive this forward. Without accountability, projects drift.
✅ Plan training and change management early. Your team won't adopt a new system if they're not ready. Start conversations from day one.
✅ Measure impact for both your benefit and grant reporting. Track what matters: time saved, errors reduced, revenue gained. It's proof that the investment worked.
The funding source matters less than the approach. Get these five things right, and you're already ahead of most projects we see.
