I think I might be building one of the coolest things I’ve ever created… 👀🩷🧡

For the last few weeks, I’ve been training Emily AI. She's a badass!!

And when I say training it, I don’t mean I’ve uploaded a few PDFs, told ChatGPT to talk like me and whacked my name on it 😂

I mean properly training it.

Hundreds and hundreds of examples of how I think, how I coach, what I believe, the questions I ask, how I diagnose what’s actually going wrong in a business and what I’d tell someone to do about it.

I’ve been testing it with everything from…

“I’m posting all the time, but nobody’s buying.”

to…

“I’ve got 47 things on my to-do list, and I’m completely overwhelmed.”

to…

“Someone’s criticised me online, and I want to reply.”

And I am being BRUTAL with it 😂

If it gives me generic ChatGPT waffle, it gets retrained.

If it makes an assumption I wouldn’t make, retrained.

If it sounds like a business textbook instead of me, retrained.

If it tries to sell someone something when what they actually need is a bloody break… RETRAINED 😂

The goal is not to build another AI chatbot.

I want to build Emily in your pocket 🙋🏼‍♀️ (seriously wishing my actual name was Polly right now)

Something that knows enough about business, marketing, visibility, content, sales, systems AND the human behind the business to help you figure out:

What’s actually going on?

What’s the bottleneck?

What matters right now?

And what the bloody hell should I do next?

She’s currently in training.

And some of the answers are already a little bit terrifying because I’m reading them, thinking…

Yep. That’s exactly what I would have said. 😂 She may even be better than me lol... she doesn't say as many erms when thinking!

You might not have a time management problem. You might have a “WHY AM I THE ONLY PERSON WHO KNOWS WHERE ANYTHING IS?” problem. 😂

Imagine running your business where nobody knows where anything is, things constantly run out, there are no proper systems and one person is responsible for noticing, remembering and organising absolutely everything.

You’d say, “This business needs some systems.”

Yet that’s EXACTLY how a lot of our homes operate 🫣

And if you work from home, you’re trying to build your business right in the middle of it.

The washing is in your eyeline, there’s a school letter on the side, someone can’t find a charger, the dog food is running out and you need to remember PE kit tomorrow.

Individually, tiny things. Together? 700 tabs open in your brain 🤯

And this was the real lightbulb moment for me: if I ask someone to put a wash on, but I had to notice it, remember it, allocate it and check it’s been done, I’ve delegated the action but I’m still carrying the thinking.

We do exactly the same thing in business.

So Episode 27 of The EMpire Diaries is NOT me becoming Marie Kondo (I mean I do spark joy a lot of the time ✨) It’s about the environment underneath our ambition and asking:

Does your home actually support the life and business you’re trying to build?

Because sometimes you don’t need another productivity hack. You just need somewhere for the bloody charger to live.

Sometimes you don’t need more discipline. You need fewer decisions.

And sometimes you don’t need to get better at juggling everything. Somebody else needs to own a couple of the balls 🤹

Right ladies… summer is officially coming to an end, the kids are going back to school and I don’t know about you, but September always gives me that little “RIGHT, let’s get our s**t together” feeling 😂

If the last 6 weeks have involved trying to run a business around holidays, children, clients, approximately 7,000 snacks a day and having absolutely no idea what day of the week it is, consider this your official invitation to GET BACK IN THE ROOM.

Because we’ve got such a bloody good month coming up inside The EMpire 👑

☕️ EVERY WEDNESDAY: COFFEE, CONNECTION & CO-WORKING | 10–11AM

Our weekly hour to actually get s**t done together. Possibly one of the most bonkers things I’ve organised so far 😂 We’re heading to the Lake District for two days with Ant Middleton to get VERY far outside our comfort zones, challenge ourselves, build confidence and probably discover quite a lot about ourselves in the process.

I’m equally excited and questioning my own life choices… especially as I definitely told myself I’d be fitter by the time we did this again 😂

An hour away from the laptop to move our bodies and actually do something for ourselves. Because apparently sitting hunched over Canva for 9 hours doesn’t count as exercise. Who knew? 😂

🧖🏼‍♀️ 24TH SEPTEMBER: AFTERNOON TEA & SPA DAY

And YES, this counts as business development as far as I’m concerned 😂

We’re switching off, eating cake, using the spa and spending proper time together. Because I want The EMpire to be about building brilliant businesses without forgetting that we’re actual human beings in the process.
