Being a picture framers in the S11 area, it’s safe to say we frame a lot of artwork for the lovely folks of the Steel City. Here’s a few we’ve framed recently, including an original sketch!

1. David Hirst, for you Wednesday fans out there still reminiscing over those glory days, this one is (reluctantly) for you.
2. ‘The Handover’ I would urge everyone to pop over to Pete’s website and read about this piece. It’s too long to explain over an Instagram post, but a really brilliant little story.
3. A stunning little original sketch titled ‘Frank at rest’ from the recent Picture This exhibition at the McKee Gallery. Just awesome.

Who’s up for a bit of reminiscing? I’m printing these photos taken by this afternoon and it’s like stepping into a Time Machine… 🕰️

We’re delighted to be printing, displaying and selling Mick’s work at our Hunters Bar Gallery now. You can also find them displayed at the famous Crucible and even at the in London.

"I took the cameras around Park Hill and around town: I was a resident from 1961 to 1974. This meant that most of my subjects were friends, neighbours or relatives. The results are a snapshot of a city and a community at a time of great change - of places and ordinary people going about their lives."

We love framing these 3D maps! You can literally sit and stare at them for hours on end, even managed to persuade the lovely Mary to hold it up for the picture 🤣

This particular one, framed in a deep recessed black wooden frame and spacer to match, was brought in and entrusted to us by and depicts the stunning contours of the Lake District, a place Luke and many other Sheffielders explore for their holidays. Thanks Luke, we hope you like it!

Had 2 customers bring these Kid Acne screen prints through the door this week, framed for them in different ways.

First one is float/shadow mounted onto a white backing with a white wooden frame for Usually people go for a black frame so was refreshing to see it in the white.

Second is done straight into a black frame, we usually like to float mount them but customer wanted it to match other prints they have.
