Pennard Organic Wines We grow grapes and other fruit and make organic wine and liqueurs. We also use this method to press our grapes, which makes us unique amongst wine-makers.

We are an organic vineyard and fruit farm in Somerset producing English wines, fruit wines, meads, liqueurs and traditional draught cider. We press the apples on an antique hand-turned cider press, using organic straw as has been done for centuries. We sell our produce at our farmshop, at local markets, shops and delis as well as by mail order. We have had Soil Association Certification since 1987.

Hi there!
We have been running our organic wine stall at the Glastonbury Festival ever since we started making our wine in the 1980s. It has been a tremendous experience and we have very much enjoyed meeting all the people who have come to our stall over the last 30 years or so. However, after much thought and deliberation, we have decided that we can no longer afford to do it. We apologise to all our loyal customers and hope you won’t be too disappointed! Thank you so much for all your support; without you it wouldn’t have happened! And a massive, heartfelt thank you to all our volunteers for all your hard work and energy in creating that wonderful atmosphere! You made the stall a special experience for everyone.
The good news is that we are continuing to make the wines, which are available from our little shop at the vineyard, by mail order (UK only) and some local shops. We hope some of you might come and visit the vineyard where you can taste our full range of products, including scrumpy cider!
It’s the end of an era for us. We have very fond memories of the festival and are very grateful for all your support! Thank you!
