We were truly honoured to be surrounded by so many inspiring care professionals, passionate teams, and people who dedicate their lives every single day to making a difference in the lives of others. 💜

Events like this remind us just how special the care sector really is — full of compassion, resilience, kindness and people who go above and beyond, often quietly behind the scenes.

That is why we are even more proud to share that our wonderful Registered Manager, Tina Merricks, was recognised with the 🏆 Outstanding Leadership in Care Award 2026 🏆

Tina’s dedication, leadership, support for both clients and staff, and commitment to delivering outstanding care every day truly deserves this recognition. We could not be prouder of her and the entire Silverstars Care team. ❤️

🌟 TURMERIC 🌟 Did you know…?

✨ Turmeric has been used for over 4,000 years in cooking and traditional rituals
✨ Its bright golden colour comes from a natural compound called curcumin
✨ Turmeric is often called “the golden spice”
✨ In some cultures, turmeric symbolises care, protection, and good fortune
✨ Curcumin is best enjoyed with a pinch of black pepper — they work better together!

While turmeric isn’t a miracle cure, it’s a lovely, comforting ingredient that’s been enjoyed across generations 💛

☕ EASY TURMERIC TEA (GOLDEN CUP OF COMFORT)

Perfect for a calm moment at home.

You’ll need:
1 cup hot water
½ tsp ground turmeric
Big slice orange or lemon🍊🍋
A small pinch of black pepper
Honey to taste (optional)

How to make:
Add turmeric and black pepper and orage and lemon to your cup
Pour over hot (not boiling) water
Stir well and let it steep for 3–5 minutes
Add honey if you like
Sip, relax, and enjoy the warmth ✨

We are delighted to share some wonderful news with you all — Silverstars Care has been shortlisted and named a proud finalist at the Women’s Business Club Awards!

It was an inspiring evening celebrating remarkable women in business, each with their own story of dedication, resilience, and passion. Standing alongside so many exceptional leaders was truly an honour, and we felt incredibly proud to represent Silverstars Care and the work we do for our community.

Although we didn’t take home the trophy this time, being recognised among such strong finalists is a huge achievement in itself — and a beautiful reminder of how far we have come together.
