A new Google Update is rolling out in March and could take up to a month to complete.

3 key factors that Google are cracking down on:

1. Expired Domain Abuse where expired domains are resuscitated in order to repurpose expired content to manipulate search rankings.

2. Scaled content abuse - creating many pages and posts of content in order to manipulate search rankings.

3. Site Repution abuse - basically posting each and every guest post that comes your way without taking the time to consider if the content suits your site, if it’s spam, AI generated or lacking in any substance!

Google are bringing out a new update which they are calling their “Helpful Content Update”.

In short they will be ranking posts and sites that out the user experience first over those that are written by AI copy or keyword stuff I order to beat the algorithm.

So what this means for bloggers and small businesses is that you should be writing articles, in your own words, with the user’s best interests as your main objective.

Time = Money = Time ... and rinse and repeat.

Hello - I know it's been a while since I popped up in your feed.

As some of you will know I took a full-time contract role in November 2021 and that, combined with continuing with my studies (and kids) left me zero time.

I had to make some tough decisions and unfortunately, I had to step back from offering my freelance services.

But I'm done with both of those now. Hurrah!! 🍾

I've finally completed my dissertation for my master's in Digital Marketing & Data Analytics, and I'm feeling pumped!

The focus of my research was on understanding how small business owners decide between investing in SEO or Social Media Marketing.

And do you know what I discovered ... that the main consideration is time! Time!
