Evening Gang!

I recently had a lovely review from a client, I didn't do anything groundbreaking, it wasn't hours of work, it wasn't a multi-hour per week retainer - it was a quick job that came about as a result of a chance conversation that has resulted in a happy customer, and a happy Laura too!

It is really nice to be able to create a quick fix for someone who has an awful lot on their plate trying to grow their business whilst travelling around the world.

The point of my post isn't (only) to brag about my lovely review 😉 but also to show that I happily help out with one-off smaller projects as well as on-going operational support. I often struggle when people ask me what I do, because I don't feel like I fit into the "just your average VA" bucket!

Yes, give me a task and I will get it done - but it's more than that, give me the task and not only will it get done, I will own it... if it requires follow up - I'll do it. If it needs doing again - I'll check dates/times with you and schedule it in there and then. Give me a function like customer follow up, customer support, shipment tracking, book keeping, chasing naughty payers - I will not only "do"the tasks but take them off your hands completely, no need for you to have that tab open anymore.

I am also an experienced business owner, I KNOW what it is like when you are running a business and you want someone to run things through with, to rant at when something hasn't gone right, to celebrate with when you get a new client or a new order!

So, here I am - Laura, not only a VA but your right hand girl and your biggest cheerleader!

It is easy to feel like you are letting people down when you forget to do something that you said you would do:

A quote to a potential customer.
A payment to a Supplier.
Replying to that whatsapp enquiry.
Sending that invoice over.

All 5 minute jobs, but also all very easy to ignore when other things take priority, and we all know that awful feeling when you remember - but don't give yourself too hard a time... you are probably juggling multiple plates here there and everywhere.

Why not consider outsourcing some of your back office tasks to someone who will not only get them done, but will take ownership of them - using years of operational experience to make your life easier.

Looks great!

Something exciting just went live — and we couldn't be prouder. 🙌

We've just launched the brand new website for Blackbird Soul Studios and it's been a proper end-to-end project. We designed Abbie's full brand identity first (Thanks Guy!) - logo, colour palette, visual style, and then built the website around it. Seeing it all come together is one of those genuinely satisfying moments.

Abbie Trayler-Smith is a story-led photographer based in Somerset. She has a rare gift for putting people completely at ease, and it shows in every single image she takes, from personal portraits to brand shoots to large-scale commissions for clients like Greenpeace.

Why did I start CC Business Solutions?

Well to be honest, after several years working for a large manufacturing company here in the South West that (due to it's size) was having to become more corporate by the day (oh, and along with the arrival in 2022 of my new boss - aka my son!) I realised that I missed working for a small company, and that I wanted to make sure I was able to not only give my son the life I wanted him to have, but to also be there and live it with him... and that is when CC Business Solutions was born!

The enjoyment I get from being an instrumental part of helping a small, rural business to grow is why I now do what I do. No matter what industry your business is in, you as the business owner, will get to a stage where you can no longer wear all of the hats - and having an out-sourced, experienced, reliable operations manager in your back pocket will help not only you, but help your business grow into whatever you want it to be.

So whether you want someone to take over your social media, make sure your customers and enquiries are feeling loved and listened too, a polite but stern person to remind your naughty customers about that invoice that they have conveniently forgotten or maybe just a right hand lady to get your back office running smoothly and supporting you as you do what you are really good at - I am here and ready to help!

I see you.... you receive an enquiry, or an e-mail from a customer. You diligently read it (even if it came in at 10.30pm on a Saturday night) and you think I'll deal with that later/tomorrow/first thing on Monday morning.... but then a few days later you get that nagging feeling of forgetting something....
