In time for the 250th anniversary of the first section of the Leeds & Liverpool Canal being completed, Sustrans and the Canal & River Trust are carrying out work to improve the canal towpath around Shipley and Saltaire.

The towpath between Victoria Street Bridge and Hirst Lock will be closed from today, and is expected to re-open around mid-March.
