Mattresses have been notoriously difficult to break down mechanically and manually over the years , but now textek with over 18 months R&D have bee able to break the mould and dismantal any mattress any size into sub 50 mill materal in under 30 seconds.
We are able to divert over a million mattresses in 12 months from landfill

Did you know, that 8 million mattresses are destined for landfill every year. This is a staggering 167,000 tonnes Wich is obviously a massive problem that our country faces today!
Here at Textek we aim to divert as many of those as possible.
How?
Well we have dedicated 18 months of research into a solution wich is beneficial to the environment. Textek have invested into a multi million pound bespoke state of the art Processing Line. This Processing line will be able to shred 10,000 mattress in just one week! This is a much better solution than manually stripping them by hand as even a skilled experienced worker can only strip around 65 a day.
Why shred a mattress?
You see, every part of a mattress can be reused or recycled.
The metal is melted down and resued within the UK from anything like kettles to planes.
The foam is shredded down and sent off to be used as underlay for your carpets.
The mixed textiles is used as a replacement for traditional fossils fuels that power your homes (so you can make that all important brew)
Our facility is fully permitted by the environment agency and is operated to strict environmental and safety standards.
