We've had a busy few months, so busy in fact there's barely been time to update this page. So let's tell you about some of the things we've been doing:

- Helping Mr A from Catford who had a laptop which had stopped wanting to charge. One quick look showed up the problem, a bulging battery which was in danger of breaking the case. We ordered him a new one, fitted it safely and made sure the computer had a clean bill of health.

- Helping Ms D from Sidcup who wanted help installing her new homeworking setup and also advice on a suitable portable computer for her son. Based on our guidance she bought herself a new Chromebook which we were only too happy to help set up.

- Assisted Mrs H from Hither Green whose Windows machine was refusing to update. We backed up her data, rebuilt the install from scratch and made sure all was restored as before. All in a day's work.

A fun few weeks for the IT Guide.

Mrs D from Footscray wanted help with an email account that just wouldn't authenticate and Wireless printers that failed to respond properly. We sorted the email and have agreed to cable the study area of her house to network all her printing devices correctly.

Mr H from Blackfen was worried his computer was running slowly. We gave it a complete health check and reassured him all was well and he was clear of any viruses or malware. Our no fix no fee terms meant we did this for nothing - there was nothing to fix after all!

A short clip of the end result of our latest fun project. This was a vintage Toshiba laptop (probably as much as ten years old) that we were challenged to refurbish. One new hard drive and a complete reinstall later, and the computer is as good as new, perfect for a child to use for homework and at a fraction of the cost of a new device.

You would be surprised at the new life that can be wrung out of old machines, and it is just a small example of what our expertise can be turned to.

Mr R of Blackfen asked us to give his machine a new lease of life with a Solid State upgrade to his hard drive - and we're happy to sort.
