Will Martin Ready for Iconic Spa Challenge with Greystone GT
Will Martin heads into the next round of the McLaren Trophy Europe this weekend as the championship arrives at the legendary Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, supporting the world-renowned CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa.
Following a challenging opening round at Monza, Martin and the Greystone GT team arrive in Belgium determined to turn their promising pace into strong results. Despite a difficult debut weekend, Will showed impressive speed on his first McLaren Trophy Europe appearance, qualifying fourth and demonstrating the potential of the #33 Greystone GT McLaren.
Spa-Francorchamps presents a new challenge for Martin, with the historic 7km circuit widely regarded as one of the most demanding and rewarding venues in international motorsport. The fast and flowing layout, featuring iconic sections such as Eau Rouge, Raidillon and Blanchimont, will provide the perfect stage for the next step in Will’s GT racing development.
Racing as part of the support package for the Spa 24 Hours, the event will see Martin compete in front of a huge international crowd and alongside the world’s leading GT teams and drivers.
Ahead of the weekend, Will said:
“Spa is an incredible circuit and one I’ve been really looking forward to racing at. Monza was frustrating because we showed strong pace but didn’t get the results we deserved, so the focus now is on putting together a clean weekend and converting that performance into points.
The whole team has worked hard since the first round rebuilding the heavily damage car from the Sundy race in Monza and I’m excited to get back in the car and continue building with Greystone GT.”
With experience gained from his debut and renewed focus heading into round two, Martin and the Greystone GT squad will be aiming for a strong weekend and valuable championship points at one of motorsport’s greatest venues.

Templeton and Collins Charge to Podium at Spa-Francorchamps

Branden Templeton and Jack Collins produced another strong performance in the British GT4 Championship at Spa-Francorchamps, battling through the field to secure fourth place in the Century Motorsport BMW M4 GT4.
The weekend presented an added challenge for the duo, with the distinctive BMW starting the race from the back of the grid following a technical infringement during qualifying. Despite the setback, Templeton and Collins delivered a determined recovery drive on one of the world’s most demanding circuits.
A chaotic race featuring multiple Full Course Yellow and Safety Car periods created opportunities throughout the field, and the Century Motorsport crew stayed focused as the order continued to change.
Working their way through the pack, Templeton and Collins showed strong pace and race craft to climb through the GT4 field, eventually crossing the line in P2 in the Silver class after an impressive comeback drive.
The result continues the momentum built by the pairing following their maiden GT4 victory at Oulton Park, with the BMW M4 GT4 once again proving to be a strong contender in the highly competitive British GT4 field.

Dorlin Shows Determination to Salvage Points During Challenging Oulton Park Weekend
James Dorlin endured a frustrating fourth round of the 2026 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship at Oulton Park, but the Restart Racing driver showed admirable determination to rescue championship points despite a series of setbacks across the weekend.
Having demonstrated encouraging pace from the outset, Dorlin finished sixth in the sole free practice session, highlighting the potential of both driver and car around the Cheshire circuit. However, qualifying proved frustrating, with a track limits infringement costing him a place inside the top ten before a five-second penalty in the Race to Pole session further compromised his starting position for race day.
Starting race one from 17th on the hard tyre compound, Dorlin's focus was on completing the mandatory tyre strategy while staying out of trouble. Despite dropping back during the opening stages, he recovered positions as the race unfolded and ultimately brought the car home in 17th place after a largely solitary race.
With the hard tyre obligation completed, race two offered greater opportunities on the faster soft compound. Dorlin immediately began making progress through the field, climbing positions throughout the race and showing improved pace as he closed in on the group ahead. By the chequered flag he had worked his way up to 14th, underlining the speed that had been evident throughout the weekend.
The final race of the day promised another opportunity to challenge for a strong points finish, but disaster struck before the lights even went out. A power steering issue developed on the formation lap, forcing Dorlin into the pits as the field prepared to start.
Although the team worked quickly to rectify the problem, there was insufficient time to complete a repair, leaving Dorlin to tackle the race without power steering. On a circuit as demanding as Oulton Park, and in a modern BTCC car with significant load through the front tyres, the issue created a physically punishing challenge.
Refusing to give in, Dorlin dug deep throughout the race, battling both the technical issue and the demanding conditions to steadily work his way forward. His perseverance was rewarded on the final lap when he overtook Nicolas Hamilton de Leon to secure 14th place and collect valuable championship points.
While the results did not reflect the pace shown across the weekend, Dorlin was able to take positives from his performance, particularly his fighting drive in race three and the speed displayed throughout practice and race conditions.
The BTCC now heads into its summer break before returning at Thruxton at the end of July, where Dorlin and the Restart Racing team will be aiming to turn their evident pace into the results they deserve during the second half of the season.
James Dorlin said:
"That is Oulton Park all done and it has been tough, really tough. In the last race, we had no power steering from the outset. We tried to fix it when I came into the pits just before the start of the race, but unfortunately, we didn’t have time to get it sorted.
"I had to fight and try to do the whole race with no power steering, which in these cars, with so much power going through the front wheels on slick tyres, is super tough. But I wasn’t going to give up. We just had to try and climb as far up as we could, or at least hang on to it and claw some points back.
"Fortunately, a couple of guys had an off and I managed to overtake a couple as well, so we salvaged some points and limited the damage as much as we could.
"We just need to reset after this. Hopefully that is all our bad luck over and done with. It has been a tough start and there is a lot of potential, so hopefully in the second half of the season we can get some good results."

Cruel Luck Denies Martin Reward on McLaren Trophy Debut
Making both his McLaren Trophy Europe debut with Greystone GT and his first-ever appearance at Monza, Will Martin faced an uphill challenge from the outset after mechanical issues on Thursday limited his valuable track time around the iconic Italian circuit.
Despite the setback, Martin quickly got up to speed and delivered an impressive qualifying performance, securing fourth place on the grid for Race 1 in the #33 Greystone GT McLaren.
As the field charged towards the notoriously tight first chicane at the start of the race, the leading pack ran nose-to-tail through Turns 1 and 2. With the second-placed car running wide, the field concertinaed mid-corner, creating a bottleneck among the front runners. In the resulting scramble, the #88 car rejoined the racing line and made contact with Martin's McLaren, puncturing the right-rear tyre.
Will managed to nurse the damaged car back to the pits, but the impact had caused significant damage, forcing an early retirement and bringing a frustrating end to what had been a highly promising debut race.
Sunday's Race 2 offered the opportunity for redemption following the disappointment of the opening encounter, but the Greystone GT pairing would once again endure a frustrating afternoon at Monza.
Qualifying duties fell to teammate Hugo Bac, however a mechanical issue and a shortened session due to red flag prevented him from extracting a competitive time from the #33 McLaren, leaving the duo to start from 20th position on the grid.
Undeterred, Bac produced an impressive opening stint, carving his way through the field and gaining six positions in the opening laps. By lap eight he had climbed to 14th place, putting the car firmly back in contention. With the pit window opening at the end of lap 10, Bac continued his charge before handing over to Martin during the mandatory driver change on lap 12.
Martin quickly settled into a strong rhythm and continued the team's forward progress, making further gains as the race entered its final stages. However, with just 15 minutes remaining, disaster struck. Approaching the high-speed Curva Parabolica, one of the fastest corners on the circuit, Martin suffered a braking issue which caused the car to veer to the left before making heavy contact with the barriers.
The impact caused significant damage to the #33 McLaren and brought an immediate end to the race, capping a challenging weekend for Martin on his McLaren Trophy Europe debut. Despite the disappointing results, the pace shown throughout the event, particularly after limited running and difficult circumstances, provided plenty of encouragement heading into the next round of the championship.
The next round of the McLaren Trophy Europe will be at Spa Francorchamps, Belgium on June 26 & 27
