🐴 Fancy making the most of the last few weeks at Craven Country Ride?

Most of our fences have been moved to create a NEW LAYOUT, so there’s plenty to explore and enjoy! The ground is looking lovely, with a good carpet of grass providing fantastic riding conditions.

There’s so much to enjoy at Craven, including:

🌳 Winding woodlands
💦 Water complexes
🐎 Plenty of open space and the best riding ground
⛰️ Fabulous viewing points
🪵 Copious amounts of jumps in different sizes and styles

We really couldn’t ask for better weather or ground at the moment. The going is lovely and springy; perfect riding conditions for horses!

The Old Trakehner was starting to show its age, so this week it’s had a bit of a rebuild! 🔨

It was one of the very first fences we built here at Craven Country Ride, almost 25 years ago! How time flies!

We’ve given it a new lease of life, so be sure to give it a try next time you’re here. Swipe to see the revamp!

The ground conditions are some of the best they’ve been in a while, with fantastic grass coverage and perfect riding conditions. 🌿

🎉 EXCITING NEWS! 🎉

We have some very exciting news to share… Craven Country Ride has been shortlisted in the 2026 Yorkshire Post Rural Awards for Rural Business of the Year! 🏆🌿

We have come a long way over the years here at Craven, and we’re incredibly proud of what we have created. A place where riders can come, enjoy themselves, have fun and make the most of the beautiful Yorkshire countryside.

To be recognised in these awards is a real honour and something we’re hugely proud of.

🎃👻 HALLOWEEN TRAIL DAY 👻🎃

📅 Saturday 31st October
🕙 Setting off between 10am & 12pm
📍 Craven Country Ride – BD23 4ED

Join us for some spooktacular Halloween fun! 🧙‍♀️🎃🐴

We’ve designed a specially themed 4–5 mile course packed with something for everyone, including:

🌲 Winding, spooky woodlands
💦 Water complexes
👻 An array of jump sizes to suit all abilities
🌳 Plenty of open space with no traffic
🏔️ Some brilliant views across the Dales
🍬 A sweet treat along the way!

Jumps are completely optional and can be easily bypassed, making this a great course for riders of all ages and abilities. 🐴

📸 We’ll also have a professional photographer on the course, capturing those special Halloween moments!

Once you’ve completed the trail, head back to the clubhouse where we’ll be serving up a warming autumnal pie, peas & mint sauce, all kept beautifully warm on the Aga. 🥧🍃

🎃 Every rider will receive a specially designed Halloween rosette!

There’s plenty of hard-standing parking and wash-down areas available too.

A huge thank you to all of our riders who came along and supported our final evening ride of the season yesterday! 🐴❤️

We hope you all had a fantastic time, even if it wasn’t quite the sunshine we had wished for! 🌦️

But the fun doesn’t stop there…

BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND is here! 🎉

We’re OPEN ALL WEEKEND, INCLUDING MONDAY! 🐎

There’s no need to pre-book a slot , simply come along whenever suits you, and there’s no pre-payment needed either.

We have everything you need for a great day out:

🌺 LEAD REIN & BEGINNER RIDE INFORMATION 🌺

We are incredibly excited to welcome all of the riders on Friday afternoon. Some information for riders:

📍Craven Country Ride, BD23 4ED

🅿️ Upon arrival, please follow the marshal for parking. This is vital so everyone can be parked appropriately.

🅿️ Once you have parked, please report to the club house to sign in. Toilets can also be found in there.

⏰ Riders can set off between 16:00- 17:00 only.

⛔️ WARNING: you must set off within this time otherwise you may be refused to start.

🚩 The course is mapped out using red and white flags; red to your right at all times. No rider should get lost as it is clearly marked.

🏵️ On completion, you will be presented with a rosette and wash down areas are available opposite the club house.

🍦🍗 CHANGE OF FOOD-if the weather forecast is poor, hotdogs will be served instead of ice cream. (Walkers can purchase these on the evening too via cash or card-‼️no transactions under £5‼️)

⛔️ DIETRY REQUESTS- vegetarian/vegan riders need to have been in contact with us if you are requiring something other than meat.

⛔️ WARNING ⛔️

We ask that all riders and people on the course respect each other. If you’re to pass a rider then please keep your distance and go outside of the flags to avoid any accidents. A gentle “coming past” may also be good to warn riders ahead.
