Fantastic Friday morning at BNI Ace!

It was great to have a brilliant mix of substitutes and visitors in the room with us this week – and especially lovely to welcome Dawn Adlam back to visit us too.

A big thank you to Joanne Jinks for delivering this week’s education slot and sharing valuable insights with the group.

Our feature presentation came from Matt Lines who gave us an excellent update on the many ways he can support individuals and businesses with financial forecasting, planning, and investing. Matt explained how he has set packages but can tailor to each client’s specific needs – because no two financial journeys are ever the same.

Whether you’re thinking about planning for the future, making smarter investment decisions, or simply want more confidence in your financial direction, Matt is always happy to have a conversation.

One of the best things about BNI Ace is the variety of expertise in the room and the willingness to help one another succeed.

We had a wonderful meeting last Friday, and it was great to see some new faces in the room. We absolutely love welcoming visitors — fresh connections, new conversations, and opportunities to grow together.

Then we were treated to a fantastic feature presentation from Joanne Jinks at HR Hub, who gave us an HR overview with a fun football theme ⚽

From spotting when the dressing room becomes a danger zone to understanding how to build and maintain a winning team culture, Jo shared valuable advice on creating workplaces where people thrive.

Brilliant morning at BNI Ace!

A huge congratulations to our Networker of the Month, Nikhita Channa. A well-deserved recognition for her contribution and commitment to the chapter.

We also had an inspiring feature presentation from Fran Stallard at HS Homes, who shared her business journey as well as her why! How much her passion for helping people through HS Homes really connected with the room. It’s always powerful to learn the story behind the business.

And of course… it wouldn’t be BNI Ace without a quiz afterwards! Safe to say the Acers and visitors fully embraced the competition.

A special mention too for Shahzadi Yousaf and her education slot, reminding us why One-to-Ones are such an important part of building strong referral relationships within BNI Ace.

Last Friday at BNI Ace, we focused on the power of building stronger business relationships through effective 1-2-1s.

Joanne Jinks shared some brilliant insights into why One-to-Ones are such an important part of BNI and how tohelp us build meaningful connections that lead to quality referrals and long-term business relationships.

We then had a fantastic feature presentation from Carl, who challenged us to think differently about the warning signs businesses often miss. From spotting red flags early to testing our knowledge on business survival statistics, it was an engaging and eye-opening session.

Last Friday, we had a brilliant education slot from Carl, introducing us to a simple but powerful networking tool – FROGS

It’s a great way to look at your network and spot opportunities to invite visitors along to a meeting:

R – Relatives
O – Organisations
G – Geography
S – Social Media connections

Sometimes we forget just how many people we already know… this was a great reminder that your next referral partner could already be in your world! As we know in BNI, growing your network is key to growing your business

What a powerful way to head into the Easter break at BNI Ace.

We started the morning with an insightful education slot from Dawn Adlam, reminding us of the real advantages of BNI networking — not just the referrals, but the relationships, the accountability, and the industry insights.

Then came a feature presentation that truly stayed with us.
Chris Gibson shared not just what he does, but why he does it and it was incredibly moving. Hearing about his dad’s career as a footballer, and now his diagnosis of Alzheimer’s, brought home just how important it is to be prepared.

It’s easy to put things like wills and estate planning on the “I’ll do it later” list… but Chris reminded us why it matters now, for ourselves and for the people we love.
